I got into a fender bender with someone I knew from college. Spun out on ice so we meet front to front when we bumped. Once the cars stopped I swear we both practically did the cartoon eye rub of disbelief lolol.

Not mine but old school crew story. Couple of lads bumped into each other in a bar in Europe - we from the States. Neither knew the other was traveling. Heard a distinct laugh across the pub and rest is history.

Oh yeah, they're sorta just doing their own thing. Seems ahead of the time in an era where there's no shortage of generic samey bass. Check out the Ivy Lab set on DEF's youtube channel. I've hit this mix like 5 times, incredible set. (I fucking love that whole channel so much. Not always to my taste, but tons of legendary sets with killer production value).

I always am a big fan of juxtaposition. Too much of the same stuff, same energy level, whatever, gets overly repetitive and loses its power. I'd much rather tell a story through the mix, with wider ups and downs, unexpected twists. When the crowd breathing heavy as hell it's nice to let em catch their breath before you melt their minds again. Like pickled ginger to reset the palette between sushi rolls.

Only other community I've seen on Lemmy is the Drum & Bass one. Much like this dub joint, still a humble lil crew. Be the change you want to see and all that tho! A lil recruitment couldn't hurt either, Lemmy still very off the radar.
