Personally no I would not. If we are not drafting a QB with the Carolina pick, I would say we should roll with Fields next year and probably want to either draft MHJ or trade out that #1 pick for a bigger haul than we got from the Panthers and then use our second pick to draft another stud position player rather than rolling the dice on a premium pick for someone like Daniels

Mooney should be that threat. I’m not sure if it’s him or Fields but that’s the missing link.

I love Fields and want him to succeed more than anything. But if you end up with the 1st pick it would be a sin to not take Williams. It just opens up more possibilities for us and resets the QB pay clock

That in and of itself isn’t really a knock on Fields. He would have to play really good for that to be not true. I think he’s been decent but not good enough

Good news guys the top QB in the draft this year is a big game Hunter who averages over a fumble a game and holds on to the ball too long. The other guy is some white guy from UNC who has less than 60% completion in the ACC. Future is super duper duper bright lol

I’ve been watching Drake Maye tape and the only thing I can say is that it’s gonna make me puke when we pass up MHJ to draft a guy who loves throwing into coverage and can’t hit 60% completion. He’s like the anti-Fields lmao he looks like Cutler w/o the arm
