The only issue I have with secession talk is there are lots of Texas citizens who aren't the problem. Every red state has people with common sense, they just don't have the ability at the moment to shut up the idiots. Plus secession at this point is ludicrous, leaving with your toys isn't how you fix problems. Oh wait, it's Republicans, they don't ever have solutions anymore anyway it's all a political game.

"The economy looks to be recovering!"

The millions of people not doing great in various ways: "Yay."

That orbit map shows it outside the Moon's orbit. Maybe the actual lunar orbit is a lot more elliptical than represented here?

I imagine if NASA has called it, it's definitely beyond functional. They've done so many other resurrections of what seemed like a lost mission before. Miracle workers. Just that it worked so well to fly for so many times says everything.

Between that or blimps on Mars and other planets, it's almost a given to have something with any new exploration. Just like rovers are so much better than a fixed location for a one-shot deal.

It's also a stasis field generator. You can't reverse time, but you can keep it stopped at that moment.

So, lack of communication. That does seem to be a core part of problems in any place.

Alternate history is messy. Look at all the speculative stories of how time travelers going back to get Hitler end up making a worse future for various reasons. Hitler is likely to have protection by the time police from time traveling "heroes" because so many think this is an easy fix.

No time travel goes unpunished.

Given where things left off, a sequel would have the same feeling as the Star Wars sequels. "Somehow Master Control returned." I'd be more for a retelling of the original with a tighter script - I mean it wasn't the best in plot, dialogue, or continuity, it was just so different that it blew us away back then. The graphics is the easy part.

They call it Waffle House for a reason. Just saying.
