One was created to transmit ideas, the other to transmit value. Very related. Both can be abused by those in power.

I'd first like an investigation for security breaches he did years ago.

Simple defense: "I wasn't encouraging anything, I was just informing them."

The biggest problems I see are the time left alone and being a single cat. This situation would work fine if you had already established a long relationship and you knew their behaviors, but a new cat, even an adult one, needs to bond with its new human companion, and a few days here and there isn't going to do it well. Then there's behavior, you don't know any of its history and how it might do in your home alone. It could be totally fine, or it could get scared/mad/bored and start tearing up things or even hurt itself. Which leads to the next point, while some cats can be solitary, most do like another companion to play with (can be a dog, sometimes they pair well, but usually cats) so they don't get bored.

I think the problem for you isn't if a cat would work, but finding the right cat, and unfortunately you can't know how they will do thrown into that without time to help them adjust.

Oh, yeah. You're right. They were concerned more with securing his boat first than pulling him out of the water, and then once aboard their boat didn't even tell him why he was being detained. That's much better.

Not a huge pepper fan, but maybe a dash. Salt depends on where the tomato was grown. My grandfather used to grow his by salt water, and they were perfect off the vine. Importantly, fresh tomato also implies fresh grown and not like most of what you find in the grocery store.

Probably a version of the same thing I had on my C64, albeit I didn't have to rely on a printout to see the results. Basically you had to clear each sector of the galaxy from Klingons (although not called Klingons because of Paramount's iron grip). A sector was a grid of squares, you took turns with the Klingon ship in moving or firing stuff, etc. For the time it was fun.

Almost believed it, but certainly Obama would be first. He really hates Obama.

That would be a glorious way to go. "CUT HER MIC!"

The cheerful colors make it even more surreal. Just have to imagine that the next floor looks the same. And the next. And the next...

Heat index is more commonly used and more frequently now in media (hmmm, wonder why?) but I think this is just some intern or AI that ran across a local midwest slang and ran with it to embellish their news story about the current heat wave to fill it out to a larger word count. I'm not from the midwest, so I've never heard that before.

Even though heat index is often used, temperature is still the main one talked about, which is fine under normal conditions. But it doesn't take a very high temperature with high humidity to become very dangerous. Any time I think about this my mind goes back to the first chapter of "Ministry of the Future" and how horrible now already can be for some places, and the future will just expand where that happens.

This is the unpopular opinion forum, so here goes: I think the same thing about mustard. :p

I don't like gobs of mayo, but I like it as a garnish for some things. Even as a dip for fries (another unpopular one probably). Can't beat a fresh tomato and mayo sandwich.
