Blender was always capable but was held back by funding and some weird outdated design choices (right click for selection instead of following the rest of the world). Luckily both issues are solved these days and it gets more and more third party support from other 3D software.

Wouldn't surprise me if in this case enough people would donate. Enough people are sick of Musk at this point.
I would argue that most people use their PC for web browsing, light photo editing
Maybe just me but I know nobody who still uses a PC for this things anyway. The vast majority of people use their smartphones or tablets for basic stuff like that. People who still use a PCs or Laptops, usually do more work than that.
Sorry but that's just wrong. Enough people simply don't even consider Linux because their needed software doesn't work + there's no equivalent alternative. And my PC/OS is not a hobby or a Ideology. It's a tool that I use to work with.
And now Imagine Linux had actually more market share on the Desktop. But for that, Linux needs at least a little more software support to be reliable for other people. And that software is usually not open source. Maybe with Flatpak, it will finally get somewhere in that regard, if there's enough interest from people.
Affinity Designer 2 and maybe DAZ Studio. I would pay got money if those could get ported to Linux. A Man can dream 🤷♂️
What's the problem here? That's how I started with Linux.
Seriously, social media brand accounts are always a huge turn off regardless how hard they try to be relatable or "funny".
What are ya’ll’s thoughts on immutable OS’s?
As a causal user, they sound awesome. I want a stable system and, if possible, never touch the Terminal to fix some stuff + I'm okay with Flatpaks, since I have more than enough disk space for them. The only slight annoyance would be theming in my case, but that's a minor problem that is probably easy to fix.
I'm actually very interested in Vanilla OS, since it is a community-driven Distro. I will probably switch fully when they bring out the KDE version.
Und das ist der Typ, dem Scheuer erst kürzlich den Arsch geküsst hat in Amerika.
Nice. Steam with Proton works really great for me so far. If only wine would be as good for other software. Trying to get my Affinity products to work on wine or DAZ Studio is a nightmare and I probably will just use a VM 😩.
