I hate music streaming services and rather buy the songs to play them locally on my smartphone.

I made my peace with the fact that Winds of Winter will never come out... It only hurts a little these days ๐Ÿ˜…

Seriously how greedy can you be? Didn't they already recently push the 50:50 split onto Streamers?

Yeah but then they couldn't deny it. Like always, Russian propaganda seeks not to be convincing but to make people doubt everything. Now they can simply claim that it was Ukraine's fault.

This. We have to spread the word mouth to mouth. There are a lot of people who are sick of reddit and willing to tolerate the growing pains + bugs of Lemmy.

Ah got ya. Yeah then this needs improvement.

Don't you have 3 buttons (subscribed/local/all) for sorting in your community view? "All" shows me all available communities and I just search keywords after that.

My account is 5 days old. I find subscribing to other communities pretty simple? On the website, I click on "Communitys" and open the list of available communities. Just click on the subscribe button and you're done.

Surprised that nobody mentioned yet The House In Fata Morgana. It's one of the highest rated VNs for a reason. Wonderful story, the art style is unique and the OST is just amazing.

theres a reasonable amount of subs (or whatever the other word for em is)

I believe here its simply called "communities".

I made a account 5 days ago and have a good time so far. Like you, I was mostly a lurker on Reddit but here I started posting memes and opened discussions. I'm actually positive about the growth and longevity of the platform. There's enough content to keep people interested. I think Lemmy will be healthy stable around 10k active users. Should be possible.

Yeah that stuff needs to be heavy moderated because of laws. Probably the reason why the instances here so far don't allow pornographic communities. Nobody wants the liability.
