Which is great news! While not every one of them will win the first time, it will do at least these three things:

  1. Bring campaigning focus back to connecting with people on the ground and asking about real issues that concern people.

  2. At least one will win somewhere unexpectedly, where the incumbent(s) had put down their guard.

  3. Brings progressivism and socialism back into the political conversation.

It's pretty telling of the fact that:

Car-free streets and workable alternatives to driving, provide people the freedom that car ads are portraying.

I know on some trackers, sufficient seeding time counts as a non-hit n run as much as a good ratio. A few weeks each is fine.

Quebec provincial police say most of the crashes involved just one vehicle.

I had the wrong idea in my head at first, thinking one madlad driver from Brossard was going around continuously getting into crashes until Quebec Police could stop him.

The way the airport wants you to do it is:

  • Wait at the cellphone waiting lot(s)
  • Once you confirmed your passengers have their bags and are making their way out to the arrivals pick up area via a message, drive there and meet up with your passengers.

If I were to guess, probably no more than one or two minutes without active loading will be allowed. If it's a busy time, guards might shoo you immediately if your passengers aren't there immediately. I usually travel to Pearson with no checked luggage, so I'm there before my ride arrives.

Good. More. At this point we as a group of nations should be airlifting aid trucks in and out of Gaza since the Israelis aren't letting sufficient aid in.

Seen this case since when it was first brought years ago, always thought it was BS. I'm sure the film industry will not stop trying though.

Yes, but depending on the play through, I don't care sometimes, because I like Transit based cities more often.

On my "car centric city" build earlier this year, I had a Traffic manager mod, and specified turn lanes in a number of areas. It took a lot of effort to deter people U-turning in crowded areas to find parking. In districts where people were concentrated, the parking rate was $50, and away from development it was much cheaper, which helped mitigate the issue and made me bank.

I do love the artstyle of 2 more so I have dropped Cities 1 more or less for it. The performance has improved a lot compared to release and I do have a capable GPU. Though i still am waiting for the complete asset model editor...

I mean, who should be surprised when the American president constantly makes his problems our problems? And with petty stunts like this, it's the American administration trying to ruin the friendship, not us.

Americans will be still welcomed when they come visit, but I'm pissed off at America as a country enough that my Canadian dollars bid them adieu.

That deadline, although Carney has qualified it as merely a framework toward the goal, kind of passed by with little fanfare. Some links of last month's stories to refresh your memory below:

What do you think is next? Are counter-tariff measures being prepared for Aug 1, more or less Trump's latest TACO milestone?

Since they know the idea of travelling to the US is unpopular among Canadians right now, Porter seems to be trying the "asking for a New York friend" route in their advertising. This is the 2nd one I've seen.

I've been watching/listening, seeing Peter sub in for David is making me do double-takes, and aside from his voice made me question for a minute if they were the same guy, just that he grew hair all of a sudden.

There is a clear pattern to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff negotiations. Andrew Chang explains four key steps to Trump's playbook and breaks down to what extent they work — and at what cost.

Since the server went off of OVH, lemmy.ca has felt super snappy overall. Tonight I'm noticing lagspikes, and the status graph shows it too...

I'll check back in the morning, site's still usable so not an urgent matter. It'd be interesting for me to know what might be happening.

Morning edit: seems like a one off.
