I just break the bead, pour it in, and reseat/reinflate. Not prehistoric, no big deal really.

Yea, it’s a funny meme, but the performance shown does not match the actual stocks.

The ragdoll knows she is fabulous.

I don’t understand this. Manual pumps are refined, reliable, light, and cheap. This is the equivalent of circling the gym parking lot looking for a close spot so you don’t have to walk before your workout.

I don’t think I can ever acclimate to that much wind, especially at 80-85 mph. It’s pretty harsh. I’m thinking maybe the Nomad ADV Tower but it’s a lot of cash. https://www.nomad-adv.com/store/p1137/FE2-24NomadNavigationTower.html

I absolutely love it. I just bought mine last Wednesday and am coming from an 890 adventure. I was worried it would feel too close to my 350 xcf-w but it is much more stable at speed on pavement. Off road I feel more at ease than on the 890 in almost all conditions. The power of the 701 is fantastic once you get the revs up. The simplicity of the bike is refreshing when maintaining it. It’s a really well refined platform that makes maintenance easy. The only drawback is lack of a fairing. Wind pressure and noise over 75 mph is intolerable for any length of time over a few minutes. Almost all my rides have some components on highway at 80+. I got the bike over 100 once and thought my neck might break off. I’ll definitely be adding a tower from either Rade garage or NomadADV. But in general I am super excited to ride it. My only regret is that I waited so long to buy one.

Friday-Sunday rode 700+ miles. Explored dirt roads, ripping tar, and camping in the redwoods. Ended getting soaked in a microburst after crossing the 90 degree Central Valley. Couldn’t imagine a better weekend.

Just installed a tubeless tire and had Orange sealant spray all over me during inflation. Strangely I didn’t have any issues with the presta valve. I think there might be other parts of mountain biking that suck more.

I think your friend’s bikes are going to suck off-road.

Great choice of equipment. I bet it sounds fantastic.

I realize this is a little mainstream, but I like music with a message. I think KL’s lyrics are worth a listen.

So a guy is lost and has phone service? Why didn’t he just call out for help? Never mind the whole issue of not answering unknown numbers. He had service and didn’t use his phone? This whole story is BS.

Awesome! Congratulations. That bike is a ripper. You’ll definitely be shifting higher with that motor. Post a picture.

The Weather Chanel (lemmy.world)

Looks cool, sounds awful. I cannot recommend this pressing from the Weather Channel. This is literally the soundtrack to the weather channel from the 80’s. If your first thought was, “there was a weather channel?” NMD

What are your thoughts. Have you experienced this issue?

Rode the NorCal BDR, last week. No snow, all trees are clear. It’s a great ride if you have the time.
