I bought one of those flashlights with a built-in taser thing at the end. Thought I'd give one to each of my 4 girls if they were effective, but that of course meant I'd have to try it out. When activated it was definitely intimidating to see and hear. When I did it to myself I was quite disappointed however. It hurt but wasn't debilitating. It'd likely just piss your attacker off.

They do hurt, hilariously so. As a teenager I remember a group of friends all zapping each other with one on the ass. That electric spark will go through jeans even and people will jump. (It can however leave a little scorch mark on clothing though, so don't do it through clothes that aren't dark colored or that anyone cares about.)

They have no problem being inconsistent.

They're convinced Democrats were drinking the blood of babies but have ignored Trump's Epstein friendship, his comments about young girls and his own daughter, as well as a recording of him bragging about sexually assaulting women since the first election. They have no problem dismissing things that would otherwise confirm a Democrat would have been better.

There's a lot you don't know. Trees can't talk.

The crazy thing is the truth about Mrs. Macron and how their relationship started is shameful and twisted enough. Why someone needs to make up false claims to shit-talk her is baffling.

I agree with you... I hope they win big!

Having the evidence needed to convict is different than evidence to no longer trust and shun.

With 20+ woman making accusations, being friends with a known pedophile and literally having recordings of him bragging about sexually assaulting women and bragging about going backstage with undressed teen girls the world shouldn't need any more evidence. The honest and rational world doesn't in fact.

I mean I agree with you that everything should be released. I'm just speculating why a government that has secrets to keep might continue to show special consideration for surviving parties.

Those survivors probably know other things the government doesn't want them to talk about too. They start getting shit for Oswald they might start talking about other stuff or maybe even releasing unknown info or evidence they've kept for their own protection.

Clipboard history and Sync across devices are separate Clipboard settings. It's the latter option that sends your data to the cloud.

And why shouldn't the artist have a say in how their music is used?

Waiting too long and feeling ashamed has been a problem for me my whole life. I've tried to address it with a few of my most cherished relationships and can say I've rekindled a few thankfully after literally decades. I've spoken about it with many of my friends and family too and found I'm not the only one that feels this way, which is helpful.

If you have a few people you have lost touch with and wish you hadn't, by all means reach out to them and share how you feel. Might make you a little vulnerable but in my experience it's worth it.

Actually it appears to be the carbonation that increases hunger, thus even sparkling water can do that. Below is just one study but there are several.

Worked with linux servers plenty with a development job but new to running at home and using a desktop interface. I'm using RDP to access the machine and have run into a few issues I'm not sure how to solve.

First, I'm using Mate and I've noticed issues with have the panel/task bar disappearing. When the machine first boots my user account is logged in and if I then RDP into the machine, the panel doesn't show. If I go to the machine physically and logout, then when I RDP in I can see the panel, but that's a hassle. Seems only one instance of the panel with run. Do I need to create a different user to use with RDP to avoid this? Other options?

Second, physically working on the machine I can go into the network settings and make changes. However when I RDP into the machine - using the same user account - the widget to let me see and edit the details of the network interface is disabled. Why is it that a physical session seems to have sudo access through the UI but an RDP session doesn't? Can I change this too?
