And then you had Adobe Collection Packs… huge boxes filled with shitloads of floppys or cds and the chunkiest manuals you’ve ever seen. And read.

The US is speeding full throttle into darkness.

I really like the blog and videos of Reject Convenience, he actually does something similar with his own life.

This is so surreal, such a parody.

On the other hand, some people will not care unless it makes an impact on their lives and economy. So reporting about it helps to visualize it and show the effect.

Thank you. Was much better now that I read a fuller article.

According to a Bloomberg report, New Delhi conveyed its disinterest in the high-end warplanes during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s February visit to the White House.

February. So this is now?

Edit: I did a blunder, missed the rest of the article.

Premise Data, Maury Blackman. Names to be cautious of.

[–] Regna@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I guess so. Hey, Maury Blackman, are you a partner abuser who also likes to abuse the law to hide the fact that you are a criminal (sorry, unconvicted) who likes to hurt anyone less monetarily or lawyery weaker than you?

Sorry. Maury Blackman, if you are truly innocent of hitting a woman half your age so hard that she had to report it to the police… please show us you are innocent or even sorry.

The video won’t load. Otoh, we have pihole adblockers. Is there an alternative?

Never forget Maury Blackman, savior of the domestic partner beaters, girlfriend beaters, wife beaters. Who tried the Streisand approach to deleting his crimes from the internet, forgetting that even if technical services are subservient to money and power, not all of us low-lives are as impressionable.

Btw, did you know that there is a guy named Maury Blackman who likes abusing younger women? Read all about it!

I can eat sushi, pizza, samosas, kebab (kabobs, döner or shawarmas depending on your frame of reference), gyoza/pot stickers/tortellone/pasteczki (or whatever), noodles/ramen/spaghetti, knödeln/kroppkakor and so on and so on. Leaving lots of cultures unsaid.

I can enjoy music, cringy cultural movies (animated and not), fun cirque sessions (even without animals being endangered), go to festivals for various cultures, enjoin then in our cultures of scouting, mountaineering, hiking and share my love of enjoying nature.

I can drive electric cars, communicate on Internet forums, keep in touch with new friends as well as loved ones across the world.

I would be in a much poorer world without you all.

Gullig särskrivning.

From last year, as it's too early and hot for it currently.

This picture is so old that image searches turned up even worse resolutions than the one I had on my computer.

The thought struck me that I enjoy hearing seagulls squawking when I am on vacation abroad, preferably close to the sea with a fresh breeze when you open the windows… I can fall asleep to that.

But I absolutely loathe the sound of seagulls that are nesting on house roofs near my home, far from the sea. They are fighting with other birds all the time and won’t stop squawking all night which makes it hard to sleep at times.

So when I am abroad, seagulls are fine. When I’m at home, seagulls are a pest.

Was cleaning up in my picture archive and came across this one. Had to do a reverse image search, as I had completely forgotten what the subject was about. Then I found some relevant articles, here's one:

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan on March 11, 2011, and this picture was so orderly and serene compared to the other ones from the disaster. Which is probably why I decided to save it.

Supposedly melatonin-infused (among other things) patches, sold on Amazon. If I were to fall asleep at the office, I sure wouldn't need any help with that. In the car though... scratches head

Probably one of the least interesting posts I've ever made...

Some spoons from a cutlery set, a series called “Rosen” from a department store, Åhléns, in Sweden. It’s from the 1970’s, and was produced up until the early 2000’s.

Left to right:

  • Mocca spoon
  • Coffe spoon
  • Tea spoon
  • Dessert spoon
  • Latte spoon
  • Compot/drink spoon
  • Tablespoon
  • Serving spoon

They all get used on a daily or weekly basis.

Wanted to share from some of my thrifting results. I've been trying to complete my cutlery set from a series called "Rosen" from a department store, Åhléns, in Sweden. It's from the 1970's, and was produced up until the early 2000's. I've been going to thrift stores, made swaps with friends and and acquaintances, and their families and acquaintances, and received some items as a gift. The latest spoon, the serving spoon, was found online through Tradera, an eBay-like platform in Sweden. I am still missing a salt spoon as far as I know.

Left to right:

  • Mocca spoon
  • Coffe spoon
  • Tea spoon
  • Dessert spoon
  • Latte spoon
  • Compot/drink spoon
  • Tablespoon
  • Serving spoon

They all get used on a daily or weekly basis. Currently using a small silver spoon as a salt spoon until I can get my hands on a Rosen salt spoon.

Was backing up old pictures and found this one that I really liked.
