I've seen too much Severance if I'm connecting "cold harbor" to "vote harder" in my head.

In 2005 when I wanted to try out linux for the first time, the only distro that allowed for switching between KDE and Gnome was OpenSUSE. I learned quite a bit. I also learned I wasn't ready to switch over, there were many teething problems then, especially sound oriented ones. I kinda understood why people stuck with one or the other after that experience.

I'm confused as to what they mean by "not being able to identify the pilot", surely that's the guy whose identity is the easiest to figure out as you can't just take off from a runway without being registered and security cleared etc. Right? Or do they mean that they can't verify that the pilot who took off is the same as the one they found in the wreck?

The US only understands money, so this is the only way to get through to them. And it's not even a hard boycott like the one the US has had on Cuba for the last 67 years.

I mean, we all saw what happened with the Budapest Memorandum. Any agreement to demilitarize is worth nothing for Ukraine, but a boon for Russia.

It was surprisingly hard to find. And having found it I'm not sure I want to share where I found it.

It really doesn't take a genius to figure out why. And especially not on this sublemmy.

But then there are the Tooks and Brandybucks going out and stealing produce and foraging for mushrooms? Not exactly nobility activities.

Another way of looking at it is that they don't have to work and is using their past time doing crime just for kicks. That kind of dickishness sounds very much like that of the spawn of nobles.

It's multifaceted, but I can mention one of the things she messed up: She made council houses a commodity^[1], and now everyone is paying the price because nobody can afford to buy their own home because said council houses have been taken over by greedy landlords that keep the rent so high that nobody can afford to save up for a house of their own.
What she did was the equivalent of pissing in your trousers to keep warm.. Council houses used to be the affordable stepping stone before you saved enough money for your own place.
