The installation isn't that big of an issue, no. Except for disabling secure boot, if needed. But then there's the way you have to install it which is via an USB stick that you have to format and write the ISO to. As trivial as it sounds, I think that's the hard part. And Operese takes that out of the equation.

Best 2 minute read I've read from Seth Green ever. Just from that little snippet it seems that he's good at keeping people employed despite his bosses best efforts of just firing people to please shareholders. What a depressing business it must be to work in with idiots everywhere.
It's certainly no small feat making it seem that seamless. Maybe one day it'll be possible to change the ISO it installs, so instead of Kubuntu it's another distro.
I was going to ask what's in the water in the UK, but I know about all the shit you're letting out into it due to privatization not caring about maintenance. Jebus christ.
And he's from Tennessee as well.
I saw a really cool project showcase yesterday: Operese. I'm not quite sure how it works, but it installs Kubuntu directly in Windows, and after a reboot, instead of starting Windows, you boot into Kubuntu with all your user files copied over from Windows.
If I had money to spend on FOSS projects, this is definitely one of the ones I'd support. I likely will from next month onwards.
Bottles is a very convenient way of managing individual wine prefixes. With its GUI it's very easy to install dependencies and change settings. I can highly recommend checking it out. I use it not just for programs, but also games as it's just easier to use than having to use winetricks.
And yet cats kill billions of birds each year. Wild.
I like that they both use the same operator.
Same. Not that I do advanced stuff, but KRunner is often good enough.
I'm 1500 hours away from hitting 10k in Civ 5. I think I'll stick with that for a few years more until LEKMOD stops being updated, and then I'll think about giving 6 a chance..
