The SCP universe is a funny one. It's all just made up stories from people around the internet that wanted to create a creepypasta universe of their own, and it has resulted in some video games as well. I heard about this particular one, SCP-3008, from someone doing a oneshot TTRPG using it as a backdrop.

Whoops. Not that it mattered much as [@emeralddawn45@lemmy.dbzer0.com pointed out, but thanks for correcting me nonetheless.
So apparently this is a satirical headline and didn't actually happen, but my first thought was that a prankster had tried to make SCP-3008 a reality.
They still haven't "fixed" it btw. And my human meat brain is 99% certain it's on purpose:
18 - 5 = 12
and
264 * 3 = 782
Bonus math problems.
I guess there were no way for her to know her husband was alive or not, a real Schrödinger's spouse situation.
And just to hammer it home that infidelity is wrong, I'm surprised the studio didn't go with an ending where Bogart got hit by that German and covered up that he was bleeding with that big trench coat, only to collapse after the plane had taken off. But I guess since it was a war movie it was bad for morale to have the "good guy" die.
You guys, I think Perifractic was in a Star Wars movie haha.
Looking forward to hearing more as this progresses.
I would've looked up whether Commodore Corp. had changed hands via KVK: https://www.kvk.nl/bestellen/#/83289348000049466550
but unfortunately it's paywalled.
For the few creators I follow that are on peertube I always make sure to watch them there, but youtube's pull is just too big. I'll use whatever method that skips the ads, but as soon as a subscription is the only way to avoid them, eh. Maybe that's the day I "move" to Albania or some other country where there aren't ads on YT.
Oof. I love Obsidian, I really do, but The Outer Worlds 1 wasn't at all the kind of game I was looking for. NPC's felt very cardboard-y, each and everyone you had to talk to was anchored to one place, the world didn't feel lived in or alive.
And then asking $80 for a sequel to that?
That's gonna be a no from me dawg.
Eh, it only lasted for a few hours, then I updated the ublock origin filters and things were back to normal. In the meanwhile I just streamed youtube videos via a media player that had builtin yt-dlp (smplayer) support.
It'll always be a game of cat and mouse.
It's just 7 curated mods so far, but it's better than nothing. I suspect it'll remain curated and mostly for bigger mods.
EDIT: By pure luck of my YT algorithm I found out that GOG also released a little video explaining what their plan for mods is.
I saw Casablanca for the first time 2 weeks ago, and yep, checks out.
What a shame, now I can't buy an overpriced product that shows me real life pop-up advertisements.
