Thank you, never heard of this one and I will seek it out.

not having to toggle through every damn brightness and flashing setting and just be able to turn on/off with a single button

You’re in luck, this is one of OP’s own requirements for all the lights on the “arbitrary list”:

A user interface where a single click turns the light on in a reasonable mode, and another single click turns it off.

Also, I just realized it’s only about 24 watts!

I did make up 461000 but there are a few variations coming out with 46mm diameter, based on the popular format you mentioned but different lengths. And the poster of this BLF thread mentioned Lumintop GT110 which uses a 46110! (110mm not 11mm).

Same, I was surprised they had already put it on the main website as well.

I’ve also seen 32700 (MatemincoTK06) and 46950 (Lumintop Mach 4965 v2)!

Aside from the unusual cell there’s also a wheel instead of a switch, and an unconventional unlock:

When unlocking, it needs to be rotated rapidly for more than 60 degrees at one time

Glad to hear it’s working. @Protiron@lemmy.world if you are still stumped I was going to suggest posting to this thread on budget light forum where Toykeeper is active: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/anduril-2/62656/1604

On reflection i think this is incorrect. arg seems to represent the output level as of when the event was triggered.

the science is spot-on

Good to know! This is a favorite of mine as well.

It gets recommended a lot, but Red Mars has a lot if science content, especially geology-related, in case you haven’t read it yet.

Thank you very much! Luckily, I have not yet read either of these — looking forward to them.
