I mean you "just" need a critical mass of users. At this point you wont see much difference in content posted anyway.

People are lazy and use what they are accustomed to. As long as it doesn't affect them that much, they wont change.
The best example is WhatsApp in that regard. I don't know how many of your friends & family still use this, but it's astonishing in bubble at least and their policies have a drastically bigger impact for the individual user than any changes on Reddit users.
The problem I see on lemmy in particular is that there are only a few users yet. If this gets better, the casual user will join too. (Network Effect)
Sadly I still don't have the reliquary. Only have the weapons, armor and accessory finished yet. I salvaged a lot of rings, but no luck. Not even talking about the backpack and amulet salvaging...
I started to play Charr, because I wanted to try something different. In other MMOs I have often played elves and humans. But I was too annoyed on the clipping problems they have. It was extremely hard to get a good looking character especially on mexium armor. So I went back to playing Norn and Humans.

I don't mind if they change the current system. I never understood how they could allow the multi account shenanigans, just for login rewards.
The only concern for me is that I will loose my steady income of mystic coins and clovers (from one account).
I have a lot of stones to spare, but it's pretty convenient to have an infinite salvage kit.

I have seen gathering tools being mentioned often, but I would probably forget to put them into the slot anyway.
For the tps I am quite lucky, I have about 350 of them from the years of playing.
I really liked boost on Reddit, but it probably comes to personal preference. Haven't tried anything else (besides the official app years ago) and never felt the need to try anything else.
On that point: there is a Boost for Lemmy app in development
Food is definitely something I nood to add. Currently three slots are occupied by mist potions, but I can merge them soon and put regular bufffood in the slots.
