How will enjoying the internet look like in the future? Lots of things we took for granted clearly weren't, and now we're used to a kind of internet that might just not be sustainable.
I guess things aren't looking too good.
Step 1: Announce very unpopular changes Step 2: Ignore backlash, go through with the plan Step 3: Predictably, lose users and advertisers Step 4: ???? Step 5: Why advertise on reddit?
Gain a monopoly, get users addicted and reliant, then change the rules of the game and hope they stick with you. It's happening now because of the economy for sure, but it's not like it's surprising.
Is it? Or is it a can of magic flatulence nuggets?
The whole doctrine is nonsensical and full of contradictions, but you're not supposed to ask questions, or use logic..

Glad I wasn't the only one confused by this!
That's a fair point, sorting by new is a great way to hunt for good content and help it get traction, but maybe right now it's more effort than it should be.
Having said this, adding a waiting time before posting again might just as easily prove more inconvenient to legit users than those who spam posts, but I'd support it at least for the time being, as discussion right now is spread over several communities so sorting by new on a single community wouldn't help much most of the times.
Ah fuck, back to the drawing board!
