Man, I literally have zero interest or need for flashlights but this has just popped up in my feed and now I want one.

Exactly the same for me. I was worried people will not get it but it has never been a problem for almost 2 years now.

A looot of it. Ideally, I will participate in one social event a week on average. I can go up to like 3 times in a week but I will need more recharge time after that.

I used to be in a relationship and live with a roommate but I don't think I would be able to do that nowadays. Being alone with my hobbies in my perfectly clean and organized apartment is just pure bliss, ya know?

Sometimes I get so lost in my hobbies and hyperfixations that I feel like I could completely forget about other people. This doesn't seem healthy at all though so I actively push myself to regularly keep in touch with the few good friends that I have.

I would say NixOS might be even more cultish. I am a part of that cult.

Does posting this kind of nonsense actually work? Are there people who read this? Does this land them better jobs, clients? I can't comprehend engaging in braindead bullshit like this...

This is the correct approach of course. But tech giants do everything in their power to convince us that we should use AI for everything, including wiping our asses. And there is a significant number of peoople who believe this. So it's important to check this and spread the word.

Is it even possible to not care at this age though? At this point school and interacting with your peers is a vast majority of your life. I don't think I have ever seen a kid being bullied every day at school and not caring. How can you not care if you're scared?

I guess it is possible as you get older, more mature and closer to adulthood. But for a kid in a primary or middle school? Kinda hard to imagine for me.

If I'm actually reading with the goal of thorough understanding then it will take as long as reading it aloud or longer. I can still skim through the text faster, but I will understand less of it.

The Wikipedia article on subvocalization has a section on speed reading. It seems that subvocalizing can in fact limit the reading speed.

This is not a good explanation because as someone already pointed out a lot of (most?) people do "read the words aloud in their head". For me, I often even make tiny moves of my tongue and larynx - see subvocalization.

Literally the point of money is to exchange it for something.

For me the reason is that I just feel better eating less carbs. I feel less energy swings, I don't get sleepy after the meal. But eating actually low carb (say <50 g daily) is just very inconvenient to me as I really don't like cooking and meticulous meal planning. Well, and carbs are often fucking delicious. So in the end I eat pretty normal but I do avoid carbs whenever it doesn't require too much effort.

I get quite a lot of cravings and eating random stuff (like mentioned butter) between the meals is quite common for me. But on the other hand I really like physical activity and I'm pretty good at keeping a rolling estimate of my calories and macros. I use that to compensate for weird stuff I've eaten during cravings. I will adjust my next meal (or all the meals next day) to be lighter, I will go for additional 10km walk or run, stuff like that. In the end I'm able to keep my calorie balance in slight surplus which works out quite well since I'm strength training too. Occasional cut resets the situation when my weight gets too high. As for macros, I'm eating a lot of protein, and trying to keep carbs relatively low, although usually it's probably not really in the proper "low carb" territory. I also eat vegetables and fruits regularly. I think I'm keeping pretty much perfect weight. BMI is kinda high but that's due to muscle mass.
