It's not been as horrendous as people claim. It's just that the best guys this year aren't the usual suspects ad media is refusing to give any of them credit.

I haven't heard the term "System QB" as often in previous seasons as I've heard it this year

I don't feel like QBs have been that this season.

It's just that the guys who get hyped ( Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lawrence..basically the AFC QBs) have not been good and it's actually clouding the excellent play of NFC guys who perennially never get ANY credit.

Purdy, Dak, Cousins, Stroud ( I know he's in AFC but he's a an OSU rookie people said would bee a bust) and Hurts have generally been good-great this year.

QB play is not as baad as people think..it's jusst that the guys media generally push down our throats have not played up to the standard people expected...and so the general consensus has become "QBs are bad this year" when it's not true

Dak is NOT in the MVP conversation. He has put up insane stats vs bad teams and has not won any game vs a good team.

It's weird how he gets credit for beating tomato cans when other WBs don't get nearly the same credit for actually beating real teams.

The team ranking is fair tho.

I think it's more of a MENTAL advantage.

Knowing 4th and 1 is automatic even in your own half means you are always in 4 down territory and opens up the playbook more.

Also I think it grinds down the morale of the opposing defense knowing full well what's coming on 3rd and 1 amd being helpless against it anyway.

That feeling of helplessness in that situation when a defense should be getting ready to leave the field is a big advantage IMO.

I don't know what you mean by worse....Purdy is leading the league in almost every single passing metric so this is factually incorrect.

BTW,Keenan Allen,Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler are a top position group too.

You can defend Herbert without grasping at straws.Staley is the problem...but Purdy has been the best QB in the NFL this season so you should keep his name out of your Herbert defense lol.

His issue remains inopportune turnovers and that has made winning games more difficult IMO

Avoiding Turnovers is key to winning..just look at Denver right now.

The officiating had been very very biased and awful and obvious at times. That is not even mentioning commercials

Basically the highest win %. No need for a lot of words lol

I don't know what you mean. If Riley was balling out..wouldn't you be happy?

I don't understand y'all

[–] QuirkyScorpio29@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He leads us in targets though.

So it's not like he's not getting fed...but whn you have the best RB in the league plus a top 2 TE.....on top of being ahead in games a lot,,there's not much to go around

This post is why I always complain that we are not passing the ball enough. (SF fan)..Aiyuk has been eating DBs alive all season long and Kittle is THAT dude yet we are bottom 3 in pass attempts....SMDH.

People be saying CMC is the engine of our offense when in reality the trio of Purdy-Aiyuk-Kittle has been the main basis of our explosive offense..those 3 have great chemistry and have been excellent all year.

Nice to see BA and Kittle on these graphics....if anything we have underutilised our pass game from a volume standpoint.

I disagree because most of the guys at the top are space creators when you watch them with the naked eye. So even on plays when they don't get the ball....you can still analyse whether they influenced the play or got open and just didn't get targeted.
