(it was Lucy who yanked the ball)

(sorry)

(it was a good comment i'm just being unecessarily pedantic in the morning)

(Peppermint Patty's character quirk is that she is unfailingly kind)

some examples of thoughts i'd anticipate russia labeling as extremist:

  • trans people are real and exist in every community
  • same sex couples don't want to overthrow the state, inherently, they just want to exist and any at large desire to overthrow the state is a result of the state not allowing them to exist
  • Ukrainians have their own cultural identity and language, and it's fine for them to exist as their own independent entity
  • Siberians have their own cultural identity and language, and it's fine if they want to protect and preserve that
  • reeducation camps to russify and then adopt out children is a tactic employed exclusively by genociders and is wrong to do

they're solid starting point for shopping now that wirecutter, slant, and others are enshittified. i hate it and it makes me feel dirty to use, and you can't just do whatever the llm says. but asking it for a list of options to then explore is currently the best way i've found to jump into things like outdoor basketball shoe options

almost like who raises kids and how they're raised matters and resisting fascism starts with nurturing within children empathy

nah no worries. it was a little subtle. i'm glad to have gotten to illuminate what i thought was a solid bit of... humor's the wrong word…

solid bit of something

her story is so sad. she was basically a mail order bride (it's actually even sadder and more manipulative and exploitative than that)

agreed! i just wanted to focus on the interplay of animation styles. but yeah, the east and west do genuinely have differences in art traditions thanks to art being a cultural expression and eastern and western cultures are not homogonous (nor should they be), but humans have been remixing art since art first started, and that seems to have been approximately 300,000 years ago

it's true that our current situation is a disaster. it does not diminish the fact that an even bigger disaster is being constructed while we process and attempt to repair this disaster. the old ice agents are bad, evil, and cruel, but they were also all recruited under a different framing of what ICE is supposed to be. the new ones will have absolutely no compunctions, no reservations, and no hesitations.
