Self host beeper... I love matrix but people struggle with maintaining a key and password .. beeper simplifies this and has other chat protocols (bridges) that might entice normies.

Maybe unrelated? But I saw an interview with Tyler a while back and he mentioned he listens to song slowed down as a means to analyze a song.
Oh man, I had forgotten about this... We had this ex hippy visual basics teacher in high school... And our class was awful to her... I don't think I contributed much but we were little shits. I am not proud...but anyway one day the stoner kid walks in and has these and is like, 'look miss acid!' she freaked the fuck out and snatches them and is like smelling them... The whole time we're like 'miss if that's acid... You're about to have an eventful Wednesday with the way you're handling them.'
She eventually had a break down... I'm not sure we were directly the reason, but there's no way we weren't a contribution... That class was wild. But yeah some admin person showed up and asked us 'did she say anything when she left on Friday?' apparently she noped the fuck out and went surfing in Hawaii... I hope she's doing okay.

I'm talking about the android client for beeper but have used it for nheko...and it does support e2ee. I use it for all matrix convos and rooms. Maybe something changed in the time you last used it and I signed up, but yeah not having any e2ee issues once I verified the key
so unfortunately, you can't log into your matrix account, but rather it creates a @username:beeper.com account. Which (if you bug them) you can use to log into your favorite matrix client. but you can then join our favorite rooms and chat folks using normal matrix commands.
