“Toll The Hounds” by Steven Erikson, it’s book 8 in The Malazan Book of the Fallen series.

Copper fed salvage, Armistice Bastion Pass and four slots for guild siege.
For me that would be The Three Musketeers (1973) and The Four Musketeers (1974). I love those movies and the cast is incredible.
Yeah, I picked it last time, it’s great. Just wish I’d remembered to install BTRFS for snapshots but too lazy to change/convert it now and it has been very good.
EndeavourOS on my gaming laptop. I do productivity, Rust programming and gaming, mostly GuildWars2 and various RPGs. Waiting for Baldur Gate 3 !
I'm fine in general with most of them but I'm settled on KDE. I agree the software is great, I love apps like Okular and there are these little goodies hidden everywhere, like typing "fish://user@server" in the file manager url/path area and I get a folder open of the remote file system, I can even add it to "Locations".
I picked Endeavour because some friends were waiting for me to get online, so I had to hit the ground running with some good defaults. I could really have picked any distro, I'm flexible but Endeavour was lauded for a quick install and I wanted to try an Arch distrib. I was up with KDE, Steam, NV drivers and Discord in 20min so it was good.
I customized it more in the following weeks, like I'd do with any distro. Now I've heard about Garuda I kinda regret I didn't go that way. I'd like that BTRSF+snapshots option but I don't have patience to set that up for the time being - either converting the FS and setting up grub myself or reinstalling with Garuda, seems like a hassle for now.
Ofcourse, but I think it's clear what they meant - what would you do different compared to the old/current constitution if you could write a new one. It's an interesting question.
Almost everyone is affected to some degree, it's a problem affecting the general population and it's getting worse. It came with the popularity of social media and attention grabbing games on smartphones. Tiktok, Instagram, Candycrush, etc. It all aims to turn us into dopamine junkies with quick excitement and constant stimulation of the senses And these platforms are constantly getting better at it, Tiktok being the most recent example.
It's so bad that even the typical instrumental intro to songs is shorter nowadays because people would drop the song if the intro was too long.
Yes, the integration with btrfs/snapshots is really great.
Windows 11 for gaming and SuSE Tumbleweed for work and development, mostly Rust.
Only thing preventing me from gaming on SuSE is that the speakers on my Asus Strix laptop sounds godawful on Linux and the microphone is full of static crackle.
Micro is a quite nice replacement for Nano: https://micro-editor.github.io/ but Notepadqq looks interesting too.
