Woo-cough-hoo!

Karateka, along with everything else Jordan Meschner did following it, starting the Prince of Persia series.

It's a nice evolution of personal style.

I've more or less dropped out of mainstream gaming so have no idea how the more recent Prince of Persia games play, nor if he has any involvement... but anyone who knew the original games should understand that these games did something foundational with movement and interface, helping the player to feel involved in the action.

Absolutely, but this was an homage to a period of time rather than to a movie.

And I'm not at all condemning the movie, it's definitely a me issue. I couldn't buy into the premise or the main characters and dipped out before the plot kicked in.

I'm a huge fan of both Walton Goggins and Damon Herriman, so I may revisit the movie at some point.

And the one Tarantino film I didn't finish, despite loving some of the cast.

It's a movie about loving that age of Hollywood, which I don't and never had. And then of course a Tarantino plot is slapped on top of it but I still was bored out of my mind.

In my uninformed opinion, it's likely a part connecting Act 2 to Act 3 that they aren't totally happy with and are trying to either smooth out or replace.

Watching it now. I'd learned of it from a YouTube series analyzing similar movies called Goodnight Rita.

Wanna be private in public?

Don't be noteworthy. Don't do things that will get you noticed.

Since people are around, act appropriately. The cameras change that very little. Gossip is still powerful, proof is just easier to come by.

"On this occasion, Johannesen had also attempted to hide a mobile phone behind a wardrobe which was discovered when it started ringing during the search."

This guy was clearly not all that bright. But he is hilarious, unintentionally.

Basic recipe at: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/no-knead-bread/

I now add a tablespoon of diastatic malt powder and knead it a fair bit for the 2-3 hour version.

Baked at 450F for 30 minutes top on, 5 off.

The browning on the bottom (in the comments) is not burning but delicious caramelization. The diastatic malt powder causes the crust to brown with sugars.

Will add a picture of crumb once it is fully cooled.

Best pizza I've made yet. Diastatic malt powder is a real game changer.

I was honestly curious if there was a link between the two terms, not a scientific one.

That said the number of participants in the study makes it a little questionable.

I'm a 50 year old dude, never cared about sports. But my wife got into PWHL last year and I started watching with her.

It doesn't have the toxicity that I've seen in so many male dominated sports. We're Minnesotans, so of course we support Frost.

Late last season we were watching a game and while the game was tied, our (Minnesota, not yet called Frost) team wasn't making as many shots on goals as they usually did, and I said that.

"What's going on? Why is Minnesota lagging in shots on goal... WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO ME, I'M MAKING OBSERVATIONS ABOUT SPORTS STATISTICS!!"

Left to right and actually sorted oldest to youngest we have:

Bernie Sanders is eight years old.

Miles Morales is just over four.

Abed Nadir & Troy Barnes are two and a quarter.

Maryjane is just over a year and is a foster fail. I'm the one that insisted on the failure. My dad adopted Mongo from the same litter.

Maryjane was supposed to be a Peter Parker but my wonderful professional vet tech wife was wrong this time.

Somehow everyone gets along in our house. 5 cats, 2 labradors, 1 tortoise, almost zero fights.

Hey all, I'm a cis ally in the upper Midwest of the USA. I offered a room to Keris a while back and she accepted.

She got here Wednesday night and things are going very well. She likes me, my wife, and our cats and one dog, and is learning to tolerate the other.

She has an attic bedroom that is her space alone.

She has time to unwind and figure out what she wants to do without fear of being dumped on the streets.

I just wanted to let you all know that we have taken her in and that she is safe and loved.

I've been a fan of They Might Be Giants for most of my life and have always been surprised that people universally disagree with me on this.

Linnell's songs tend to be quirkier but also shallower. (State Songs is a good example here - there isnt a song for every state and theyre often abstract to the point of meaninglessness. I expected such a project to have more inspiration behind it.

I've always found Flansburgh's more melodic and thoughtful, slightly better composed, and with a superior singing voice.

Of course they're a great duo and they play off each other's strengths. I don't dislike Linnell at all, just the songs that he sings tend to not be my favorites.

Said by one of my two DM friends to me while we were in a pizza joint together.

"Dude! Context! We are in public."

I have a bountiful life of riches. I run two games and play in three. Just a problem finding time for them all.
