If someone attacks you first, and you slip on the brass knuckles before defending yourself, then surely that would be a defensive use?

Sorry, I meant the one in your post body, so !ccw@discuss.online instead of ccw@discuss.online.

Quick heads up, your link needs to start with an exclamation mark ! to have it link to your community.

Otherwise browsers will think it's an email.

You could have the accelerator pedal physically move a variac (variable auto transformer) to directly control the voltage going to the motor.

Alternatively, there is likely a way to directly set the PWM using an analog sensor, instead of interpreting the throttle sensor output through a more complex software stack that could introduce potential errors.

I forgot to add the link 🤦

Thanks for letting me know! It should be working now, but if not, here's the direct link.

Lubuntu would be fine, though personally I'd suggest the lightweight Linux Mint versions, such as Linux Mint XFCE.

There was a public vote on whether to eliminate it or not from the .world news and politics communities, and the vote to remove won, thankfully!

I'd add Andor to the sci-fi section, it's exceptionally good.

Common Side Effects, too.

There's some good channels on TILVids and Kolektiva.media, and if you're looking for something specific, Sepiasearch is able to search across all peertube instances.

I think a good option if they live close enough, would be to participate in a 2-gun Desert Brutality match, which is run by Karl Kassarda of InRangeTV, a longtime Anarchist.

Those brutality matches were copied in Ukrainian boot camps, where they reported it was the closest representation of combat conditions they had experienced, and overall the most useful firearm training they did.

Happened across this and thought it was interesting enough to share. As the title says, it was the first full length film done in Flash, and was entirely animated by one man, Phil Nibbelink, who previously worked as the director for Fievel goes West, and We're Back! A Dinosaur's story, as well as working as Directing Animator on Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

With a pedigree like that, you'd think this would be pretty kick ass, but it was largely ignored upon release, and got mostly panned by the few who did watch it. It apparently has a bit of a cult following now, but otherwise is fairly obscure.

It's an interesting piece of animation history, though I don't think I'll be joining the cult. While it's an incredible feat of animation for one person to have done, it's otherwise pretty mediocre, and his other two films, also animated solely by him, unfortunately suffer the same fate (though the animation quality improves).
