I have a C2 and I recently got the Apple TV 4K 2022. I’m happy for many things but also found that a few things are actually quite frustrating.
Pros: 1. Speed of the device, navigating between different apps is so fast. 2. Better picture quality and HDR for all apps other than Netflix. 3. Dolby Atmos for Apple Music 4. Far better surround and Atmos output for all apps (when it works properly).
Cons: 1. Netflix app is just outdated as compared to C2’s in built app and picture of quality of many titles (such as Suits) is just outright bad. 2. Just can’t get to have my Samsung Q990C soundbar system to work properly with ATV. It’s extremely buggy and on so many titles (on all apps) the center channel gets output to the rear right channel. It was extremely frustrating to have it to work properly. The only solution I found for this was to plug ATV directly into the soundbar instead of using earc to send sound from the C2 to the soundbar but even this has resulted in a few minor hiccups.
