The cells need to come from somewhere, so animals will still be exploited regardless. From what I've read, the growth medium and lab production is far from sustainable. I also don't have the most confidence in the meat industry and wouldn't put it past them to lie about factory meat being lab grown. If we're doing fine with tofu and other alternative proteins, why do vegans need to bother with this stuff?

I have the same thing on my desk that I keep inside a potted plant

The Snack! bike bags are really fun

There are lots of options for cool lights for a bike, like colored LEDs.

A good bike tool like the Topeak Ratchet Rocket.

And now you can take this reasoning and think about all the millions of innocent animals killed every day for meat, often in ways that could easily be considered torture if people didn't pretend it wasn't happening / justified for their taste buds.

I agree with your points and did the same thing binging on his work a few years back after never having read anything by him before.

I assume the dumb thing you're referring to is

Tap for spoilerwriting himself into the story?

Get an ebike! My commute is 24mi (28.6km) each way and it takes me about 1hr 15mins. With some bone conduction headphones and a podcast it's really enjoyable.

I got run over, broke my arm, got surgery, and still love bike commuting. I won't let reckless drivers have the power to affect my lifestyle.

360 camera on my helmet now and live in a more bike friendly place.

I've also thrown my bike in the trunk and then biked home. Easy option for those able to bike and live close enough. Also, lots of cities now have bike share stations all around.
