My point is that when we learned to interact with technology like computers, we had to start at a much lower level, that naturally gave us a deeper understanding of the technology because it was required to use it. I learned the MSDOS command line when I was 6 years old, not because I wanted to learn about the technology, but because I wanted to play games on the computer. It just happened to give me a basic understanding about how a computer's file system works.

These days you don't have to worry about any of that, as technology is for the most part effortless to use and doesn't require any understanding below the surface. So naturally Gen Z people won't pick up the knowledge Millenials did, not because they're dumber, but because they don't have to.

That's part of it for sure, but anecdotally I also find that Gen Z people often have quite a shallow, even naive understanding of the technology they use every day. Probably due to modern interaction design valuing simplicity above everything else.

Even more questionable is the source, being pro-Russian propaganda accounts on Twitter. I don't believe it for a second. Especially with the "kill list" looking like a scammer's certificate of authenticity.

Nope, Unity uses the Mono framework. No relation to Monogame besides the similar name.

Whisper of the heart is definitely among my top 5.

Eh, not only. Some of my favorite Ghibli films are Non-Miyazaki. I mean more generally things like their old-school animation techniques (don't want another Earwig), meaningful storytelling, not chasing current anime trends etc.

He's not resigning though, they already announced he's not done making films.

Not sure what to think of this, but compared to giving the studio to Goro it might have been the better alternative TBH. I just hope NTV doesn't lose sight of what makes Ghibli movies so special.

I don't think it's very empty at all. If I go to my "all" feed, the first page of posts were all posted within the last 10 minutes, and that's despite having blocked the lemmit bot.
