Free games are free games, IMO it would be silly to reject them just because Epic bad. I can install them on my Steam Deck through Heroic without even having to use the official launcher.

The stuck buttons are a defect, Valve will replace the unit if you RMA.

Here in Germany many programming jobs, maybe even most, offer WFH these days. Sometimes you need to be in the office for 1 or 2 days a week, but often it's fully remote. I work at a software development agency in a large city, but live in a village about 2.5 hours away. Haven't been to the office for like 2 years.

No, because the opposition is not a single party, but made up of 3 parties. Law and justice was still the biggest party, despite losing the election overall.

I've just finished "The Sparrow" by Mary Doria Russell. A sci-fi story where it's the Jesuits who are sending the first mission to contact an alien species. It was a really great book, some of the best sci-fi I've read in recent years. The author really knows how to write great characters you care about, despite the fact that you know it'll all end in disaster from the very beginning.

I've now started "Gardens of the Moon", the first book of the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. The series is somewhat infamous for being very complicated and difficult to read, so we'll see how it goes. The author definitely likes to use some very obscure vocabulary, good thing I have an ebook reader with a built-in dictionary.

Personally I think it would be unfortunate. I like some of the communities on beehaw I'm subscribed to, but I'm not sure I'd bother to switch over. Even right now, many posts I see don't get any interactions, others just a few and that's with users from other instances. I'd imagine starting over would kill many of these communities off almost entirely.

I've had that same bug without even having wifi 6. Maybe other routers in the area could have caused it? Curious to see if it's fixed for me now, in any case.

Also, small correction: The update is on the preview channel, not yet beta.

A few Motorola and Sony phones as well as the Fairphone still have them as well.

Earliest one I can actually put a date on is my first day of kindergarten. I remember the other kids doing some sort of crafting project outside. Other memories may or may not be earlier, hard to tell.

So what? Corruption doesn't justify starting a devastating war and trying to grab their land.

What made BG3 "antiquated" to you? Just the nature of it being a cRPG? I thought it had some really good modern game design.
