Why in the year 2024 and with all the knowledge humans have now do people still believe in religion?
Because religion provides comfort, community and a meaning to people's existence that goes beyond "we were born of chance on an insignificant rock somewhere in the universe".
(I'm not religious BTW)
If I go to bed early, I have to get up and pee at some point during the night. And since it's way too cold, I'll usually lie awake for half and hour before I can actually get myself to leave the bed.
Right. Cause we see countless games being advertised as “from the one person that made the hit and run remake”. Or “from the developer of that cancelled Mario project”.
Maybe not countless, but those absolutely exist. Retro City Rampage? That was originally "Grand Theftendo", a GTA 3 demake for the NES. Some of the AM2R (Metroid 2 remake shut down by Nintendo) developers are currently developing a Metroidvania after a very successful Kickstarter. Guess what the headlines about it focused on? Yup, the fact that they made AM2R.
Making Portal for the N64 will give you much more exposure and media attention than making just another indie game statistically likely to fail and never get any attention. The guy made a name for himself with this project. Now when he creates an original game, it will get a lot more attention for being made by the Portal 64 developer and have a much better chance to succeed.
Many of them, but one show that people sometimes nag me about is "Friends". Not going to watch it either, doesn't seem even remotely worth my time.
Mostly a joke. There has been some actual speculation around it though. What with it going through all the motions of a Disney story, but not having any originality or a coherent plot.

Ich finde da bist du schon einen Schritt zu weit. Im Moment braucht man in erster Linie Wähler und Aktivisten die sich gegen die AfD stellen. Wenn die AfD nie in die Regierung gewählt wird, kann sie auch keine Macht ergreifen.
Die staatlichen Institutionen wären dann an zweiter Stelle, sollte es wirklich zu einer AfD Regierung kommen. Wenn diese es wirklich nicht schaffen oder schaffen wollen, die AfD im Zaum zu halten, ist aber auch wieder die Bevölkerung gefragt um Widerstand zu leisten. Bin da aber etwas optimistischer als du.
Ich hoffe es werden genug Leute bleiben um es zu verhindern.
Diesmal war's wohl keine Absicht.
