That makes both of us wrong then.

How?

Because you have an agenda.

While you're clearly a very neutral, balanced person, going through a thread on India insulting people and posting images of nazi Germany.

It's pretty telling that you think these pictures would be triggering to me. I'm not a nationalist, I have no problem saying that the nazi regime was horrifying. I have no issue saying that the current government unconditionally supporting Israel is a bad thing either. I'd never pretend the place I live in is the best place ever, or morally superior. Can you do the same?

The communist party of Russia is a minority party in opposition, it's not governing at all. That's United Russia, which holds over 70% of the seats of parliament. United Russia is not communist. You're very confidently incorrect here.

anti-communist propaganda about Russia

Anti-Communist? Russia has been a capitalist country since 1989, they're not even claiming to be communist.

Well, it's not like you're willing to cut ties with the West and align yourself with Russia either. Instead you're trying to thread the middle ground by keeping your head down and keeping up trade with both. You're not taking a stance, which is exactly why you're not a political world leader.

  • Biggest democracy in the world
  • Wouldn't consider it a world leader, to me it often seems more like they refuse to take a clear stance in world affairs, so they can continue positive relations with authoritarian countries like Russia
  • Rapid development, but still a lot of extreme poverty and inequality
  • Chaotic cities
  • Great food, especially for vegetarians like me
  • Religious extremism/conflicts seem prevalent

PCs. Gaming laptops kinda suck IMO, especially their cooling. They also can't really be upgraded and are much more expensive for the performance. For mobile PC gaming I much prefer a Steam Deck.

There have been many times in history when things have been far worse, so no, it's not the worst. But many things are in decline right now. Democracy, digital privacy, trustworthiness of information, global peace, climate, the environment... humanity has to get back on track soon or the future looks pretty grim.

I'm not impressed by this. Doesn't seem like much of an RPG anymore, but like a generic action game with thin slices of RPG elements at best. I don't mind the game not being open world, but the levels shown seem to effectively be linear corridors without any variety in how to approach a situation.

This game was announced in January 2023, and its name is the name of the book from 1905 it's based on. Don't really see any malicious intent here.

Was pretty much the other way round for me, realized around age 25 or so that I'd spend the later part of my life feeling like shit with constant back problems if I didn't get out more. So these days I make a point of getting out on my bike or going on longer walks at least a couple times a week. Not for looks or women, but for myself.
