and now there's no way to get off.

I guess Android Authority just kind of forgot about the existence of custom roms like LineageOS?

This whole situation sucks though. I used my Pixel 4a until last year, when I gifted it to my niece. It was still in almost perfect condition, now it's basically unusable. I'd send it in to get the battery replaced, but I think they won't do it without replacing the screen, as she dropped the phone recently and it now has a single hairline crack. I might install LineageOS, but then I have no idea if the battery is actually dangerous. Not like Google is giving any details whatsoever regarding the actual problem. Very poorly handled IMO.

I've used it at work for the past 6 years and it's just quite buggy. Sending an image only works around 50% of the time, calls go directly to voice mail despite the other person being there and waiting for my call, mobile app shows me being in a call I've left hours earlier, tabs with things like checklists never load etc. I've used worse programs, but it's far from good. On a positive note though, the background noise filter in Teams is the best I've heard.

Keep in mind the battery lifespan tho. They degrade drastically overtime.

For most people the batteries will outlast the bikes. After 30,000km or so, you may have to exchange the battery. My 2020 eBike's battery hasn't noticably gotten worse.

If you have a decent bike shop nearby, I'd recommend going there and asking for advice on what to get. You should also be able to go for short test rides there on any bikes that interest you. Before buying, also research the bike online to see if there are any common issues or complaints with it.

Why not an eBike? I'd always prefer that over a moped personally.

It's a bit of a dilemma. If you leave, you'll also leave Twitter's (still large) userbase to freely be manipulated by the far-right without any objections. If you stay, you support a network owned and controlled by a fascist. By continuing to provide content you encourage other people to stay on the platform. I'm personally in favor of everyone leaving, but I understand why some organizations don't. The least they should do is establish a presence on other networks so nobody has to use Twitter to see their content though.

AFAIK Ukrainians started calling Russian soldiers Orcs and Russia Mordor due to Russia being an invading force with often very brutal tactics and horrible behaviour in the regions they occupy.

I've read some volumes of のんのんびより which I've quite enjoyed. Attempted 君たちはどう生きるか but that one's a bit tough for my level.

Importing used books from Japan is relatively cheap. I have a shelf with various novels and manga in Japanese I bought over the years.

The point is that the planning itself wouldn't be illegal if there were absolute free speech. Of course the murder still would be, but ideally you'd want to stop that before it happens, which will be tougher when just talking about murdering people is perfectly legal. Free speech isn't just about "naughty words".

Things like death threats being legal would be pretty awful. Husband saying "if you leave me I'll murder you"? Oh well, he's just exercising his free speech, so it's not an issue.

People could defame others, openly call for genocide, plan terrorist attacks etc without consequences. It would be a pretty awful society to live in.

Yeah, I believe you'll receive an automated verification call.
