People use prime video? I find that half the shit I click on, it tells me it's not included with prime and I have to buy it..

Well I mean you can disable battery optimizations easily on Pixel. Not really Google's fault for what other OEMs do.

In fact, apps that require running in the background will ask if they can disable battery optimization on first launch, and all you have to do is tap "yes".

Oh sweet summer child, you'll be waiting a while. Pull up a chair. Let me tell you a story about how I've been waiting years, with an S, for the Android app remake that they keep pushing back.

At least iOS users get to enjoy it..

This company can't stop starting new projects and putting their current ones on the back burner. Their services are all spread out between multiple operating systems. Want proton drive app? Better use Windows. Want the new proton mail app? Better use iOS. Want anything? Better not use Linux.

My favourite part of NFT/Crypto is all of the creators that outed themselves by pushing for it, taking sponsorships, etc.

2 years of hell, and for more than a year it's been completely out of my thoughts. It's absolutely mind-blowing. Especially since this is not the reality everywhere else. I don't think about Covid anymore, at all, unless something like this post reminds me it's still alive and kicking.

It's great that you get to live your life in ignorance, but people with autoimmune diseases, cancer, transplants, etc, don't.

COVID can, and does, kill us. Not having an immune system is rough.

I have watched videos of people who repair their own iPhones using this program, and some of them have to go through a process afterwards to get the new parts paired, which sometimes takes over an hour.

This should honestly lower it to a 1/10.

Parts being available doesn't really matter if you have to go through a process to pair the parts after, which uses some kind of server + human support line, that Apple can shut down at any time.

It's essentially an "always online" DRM for REPAIRING YOUR PHONE.

Many apps or websites cut titles off, though. It's important to keep them short.

I wish more people followed proper journalistic formats. Frustrates me when the first sentence is supposed to have everything you need to know - who, what, where, when, why, how - but instead these gen Z journalists think they should bury the details 5 paragraphs deep.

The proper way to write an article is to give the reader everything they need to know from the first sentence, and then expand in detail with each following paragraph, from most important to least.

I am on lifelong disability which means I get a guaranteed amount of money each month for life.

No landlords will touch me, a person with a GUARANTEED INCOME.

However, if you have a job, that you can get fired from or quit the next day, they'll accept you. Blows my fucking mind.

Btw, for anyone wondering, if I lose my job, the government will step in and give me money for my disability. If I have a job, they don't give me money. If I have a shit job where I make a couple hundred per month, they'll cover the difference. I don't mooch off the government, but my point is that I'm lucky enough to have a safety net, and landlords are so dumb they run away from it.

It's better now than it ever has been, but when you compare it to pretty much any other browser it's rough around the edges. Still going to stay with it, because fuck Manifest v3.

I just wish label printing would work. I don't know what Mozilla did to fuck it up, but the lack of response to my bug reports every single time Firefox updates is extremely frustrating. Just acknowledge it! Let me know you're aware! 8+ months to fix a print preview is crazy to me.

Well I guess I should clarify it's not the print preview in general. It's when you try to print a shipping label (6x4 or whatever size it is), and the website is "streaming" it to you. If you DOWNLOAD the label, it prints fine.

I've seen plenty of users reporting the issue with eBay, Etsy, Stallion Express, etc. so it's definitely not site specific.
