I wouldn't really called the original "light hearted" since Obama was compared to character named literally "Tigger".

How did lemmygrad end up defederated btw?

From what i understand, blahaj defederated by that 196 jerk, things were pretty cool, but he appeared and suddenly entire blahaj was on full crusade against us, also it looked he dragged down tons of his cronies or sockpuppets there to make a crowd since their threads were full of "fuck tankies" spam. Few days later they defederated so i assumed that dork have full control since everything went from 0 to 100 really fast exactly along his line.

Don't worry, we are not westerners, never were and never will be. Now if only our compatriots noticed that pretty clear 1000 year huge memo...

No, in XVII century Poland-Lithuania was occupying a lot of ethnically Russian lands and even actually invading rest of Russia, Poland lost chunks of land to them only in the 3 partitions at the end of XVIII century.

Ada at blahaj (the head admin) seemed nice and wanted us all to get along

??? Blahaj ban all "tankies" on sight, if that's "getting along" then i don't want to see how hostility looks (in an odd chance rabies might be contracted through internet).

It’s simple: the Russian and Chinese governments are actually one.

So, yellow peril and red scare united into... orange terror?

Shit.

Wtf this sounds fake for Poland, who did they asked? I mean we are the anus of Europe and proud shameless mainstay of Stupidity Belt but there's no way in hell 93% of Poles are gonna agree on anything.

It's exactly the same for anticommunists.

I think he meant it like this:

Marx at least had praise for the Paris commune. And Lenin, whatever his issues with Luxembourg, still had immense respect for her

And Marx didn't had just praise for Paris Commune. While criticizing it, he counted it as one of the most important event in history, the first proletarian state ever, and confirmation of his theory.

Also Lenin was going to Rosa house for 🐈

Magnitogorsk was the most important steel production center in USSR during the WW2 and one of the biggest in the world. Monument shows worker presenting the freshly made sword to the warrior.

Which is the same sword being also depicted on two other famous monuments: The Motherland Calls in Stalingrad, where she rises it into the air in the defence of the country (though the sword looks different because of different architect), and the War Memorial in Berlin, where the victorious warrior lowers the sword to the ground.

They shall be our finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to the cause of proletariat. Like clay we shall mould them, and in the furnace of class war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great tank armour shall we clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease of liberalism, no sickness of capitalism will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are our bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are our Red Army and they shall know no fear.

I didn't even had to change this quote very much

It looks familiar but i can't remember where i seen it.

Surprised ONRchu

I often say how horror is to browse bookstores in Poland, so here you have some examples. Cathegory "history", new publications in last month or so.

From the left:

  1. "Great disappointment, genesis of solidarność revolution." - i was like "it's understatement of century to call solidarność only disappointment" but then i remembered it's Poland and of course the "great disappointment" in title is about the PRL in 70's.
  2. "Crimes of communism are not talked about" - uh huh, dozens of books overflowing in every bookstore and probably thousands in catalouges don't exist.
  3. "The hell in eastern front. Diary of a German soldier" - likely clean wehrmacht myth
  4. "Freedom, Equality, Genocide" - not even French Revolution is safe in Poland
  5. "Hostages of hell" - a tale of three poor innocent Polish soldiers who volunteered to invade Afghanistan and were so traumatised by that hell so they signed up for another tour and now they tell us how bad it was. Typical vet propaganda like in US.
  6. "Gramsci, that is the suicide of revolution" - Main thesis is that Gramsci was really a fascist and thus every modern marxist is also a fascist.

There's also around dozen of less suspicious books. And i'm not even covering other cathegories like philosophy (zero materialists), biographies and diaries, political science, sociology etc. etc. You will find nazi normalisation and casual anticommunism en masse in literally every genre even in romance books. Maybe except children's books, but i wouldn't bet on it.

And that's every month, for 33 years by now. Actually this one is on the tamer end of spectrum, the "cucumber season" (summer slowing of the publishing market) is clearly coming.
