I Germany we call it "Höhere Gewalt". While that can refer to something supernatural, it just means "higher force" and I think it does a good job as a term.

Is that the one that says they just appear and it's an anti meme? I didn't like that one, it changes the narrative too much.
Gboard combines Japanese and German in a way that is properly usable. I wish there was a better alternative. That being said, support for east Asian languages (and easy switching) isn't relevant for most.
