It's not just about git. It's also about issued, PRs, comments, security advisory, and so on
I self host forgejo. GitHub is the better service because of their super fast ci servers, the GitHub actions that just work, and also because collaboration is tied to the network effect

I'm German and I never heard of Funktionslust, neither has my Autokorrektur. Still, that makes sense.
Personally, I feel like their service, except for VPN, was always half assed.
- No access to SMTP for automation
- Need to use that shitty bridge to use a useful client
- No pgp encryption in their web interface when talking to people not at proton
- proton drive does not offer any useful protocol like ftp, webdav, or sftp
- Calendar and Contacts cannot be easily synchronized to phone and desktop apps
The list goes on. I have only one account left with a proton email and the letter with a code so I can change that lies on my desk.
I really like just occasionally recognizing someone. Also, user labels are awesome. I write about funny jokes and mad nuts in those.
