Yes I think 16gb of ram should be standard in a MacBook Pro. But correct me if I’m wrong, that was the case with the 14 pro until this year. There was no 1599 version and there was no 8gb version. Apple didn’t need to make a cheaper version, but they chose to segment their product line. They could’ve left everything as is and no one would care
