What has the world come to when our ostensibly under-funded and under-resourced police resort to begging for food in the street.

Edit: Can't type very well while snarking today, apparently.

Helga's Mixed Grain bread "New & Improved" = 850g down to 800g. Fuck you personally, Helga.

Edit: White bread went from 750 to 700g too.

Edit 2: Also they are now in the "never goes on special" price category.

Funny one, but realising I'm having a mutual break-up with my GP. He's suggested someone else who seems OK but is a bit far away from me. Time to do some research I guess!

I would want a gastro specialist to really go through the risks for my specific circumstances before I signed up for it.

The reason it can be so powerful are the same that can make it risky -- people have died from poop that contained bad infectious material that was not picked up in screening, but also it might result in a transplant of traits from donors (food preferences, susceptibility to mental health concerns, weight changes etc.). That said, I also have an illness for which I would try any reasonably achievable treatment, even if the possibility of cure was low, and I'd be willing to take on more risk.

I used to conceptualise FMT as a very broad spectrum pro-biotic, but probiotics typically just pass right on through. An FMT really is a total re-colonisation an important system we still barely understand.

I won’t have room to manoeuvre them in

Not the kind of cupboard you can take the doors off of?

Not sure what's changed to have had three different spam callers today. Assuming tax-time scams though. Everyone else important would leave a message or send a text or email.

I think that's why people invented the phrase "hard stop at 3". It's cringe corpo speak but most people get it.

I think this post is evidence of top-notch parenting. You've figure out you're in a tricky moment, and have started putting in the work to navigate it, and you'll be prepared whatever eventuality.

Did the pronouns revelation seem like a big deal to Miniest? There's a good chance it felt like a bit of a "coming out" -- and safety in your (conscious and subconscious) reaction will be closely being searched for. As long as Miniest knows nothing else changes, there's still beds to be made and dinner to help prepare, you'll be good.

Some people don't seem to realise that their comments have a reply button underneath them for a reason, that critique or questioning is a valid form of participation in a discussion, and that there's always the choice not to respond (or not even post in the first place) if they can't handle it.

Watched the first speech last night of the new member for Melbourne, Sarah Witty. (From 5h40m41s)

It was a moving and notably principled speech, and I think she could be a source of much needed leftward pressure on federal Labor behind the scenes.

I'm not sure appalled is a proportionate emotion? Though it's been a rough week for commuters.

I hope everyone will be choosing their waterproof mascara though, could be quite cold and wet.
