University cops are there just to make sure athletes and white boys get away with their crimes, particularly sexual assault. For suppressing dissent, they call in the local police.

Bush I, our monarch at the time, used to call himself a “compassionate conservative” and he called for a “kinder, gentler America” while at the same time trying to terrify whites into thinking all black prisoners were going to get out on parole and kill them.

While I get what you’re saying, Biden is trailing in pretty much every swing state with a hint of color. He could have gained a lot by pretending earlier, imo. But it’s also not just about the voters. It used to be about making the appearance of rightness for the world or whatever.
During the first Trump administration, we used to get breathless commentaries about soft power and how these Republican savages were killing the concept. Now we’re just sending people everywhere to tell other countries to fuck off, we’re blowing up key infrastructure, etc. It just appears odd.
The best part is the “allegations of unchecked antisemitism in Berkeley schools.” Schools don’t give a fuck about bullying or even murder, cities don’t give a fuck about school shootings, but they’ll be damned if the kids are anti-genocide. The US has standards, apparently.
