Realistically, pushing veganism is simply a bad choice in America. Instead, we should be pushing a simple reduction in meat consumption. Just educate people and encourage them to REDUCE meat in their diet.

  • Take away the government subsidies that make our meat artificially cheap, doing that alone will naturally raise meat prices and lower the average person's meat intake.

  • Consider throwing a carbon tax on the types of meat with the greatest environmental impact, why not?

  • If we want to be more equitable we could only tax the "luxury" meats (like goose, veal, lamb, oysters, or expensive beef cuts that are usually only purchased by upper class people anyway).

There are a lot of ways to skin this cat (lol), and I think we've sufficiently demonstrated that most Americans are WAY too resistant to cutting all meat out of their diet.

Yeah, I don't think a smear of creamy sauce like that looks as appealing as a darker sauce would. Maybe a little ramekin or container would be best for sauces like this. Or some other creative way of doing it.

Yes and no, IIRC the last time I installed a cracked game (disclaimer: it has been a decade) I was required to install the game first with internet OFF, then replace the .exe with a cracked version. But it's entirely possible that there are a lot of newbies doing this without blocking traffic, and launching the game with their internet on and without the crack. So Unity might not see EVERY pirate, but they will definitely see SOME. How many, I'm not sure.

Depends on how much money they take over the long term I assume.

Personally I don't care and I don't really think it's THAT unethical, but it is definitely theft. So be aware if you pull little tricks like that in the future. If you get caught, you'll DEFINITELY get fired and your employer MIGHT press charges (and they would win).

Lots of reasonable 2230s available today from Micron, Teamgroup, Inland. The nicer ones from Samsung and other reputable brands will be double the price, yes. And even the cheap ones will be more expensive than a standard M.2 SSD. Miniaturization costs money, they're more expensive to make. We'll have to see how WD's prices are, but I assume they'll be higher like Samsung.

How long ago was that? There are suddenly a lot of 2230 drives available this year, I assume because of the Steam Deck. WD wants a piece of that pie. 🤤

Uhhhhh honey what you're describing is called "theft". Also known as "fraud" if you want a different name.

But to answer your question, I usually shit during working hours, so I get paid to shit. It's a great feeling.

Fair, I think what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't expect Joe Rogan's show to be as immediately offensive to those outside of America, who are missing the context of all the internal conflicts we have here.

It only uses Sync if you set up a Mozilla account. If you prefer not to do that, you can still set a Primary Password and the passwords will remain local on your machine, encrypted: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-firefox-securely-saves-passwords

Yeah the distinction is pretty small, and usually people are just talking about FOSS software....but I'd rather avoid the semantics so just calling the community "open source" makes sense to me.
