I've only bought one off of ebay, but it looks like they're much pricier than they were a decade ago. I'd check there, and check the reputation of the sellers. The others were gifts i got from friends who visited eastern europe over the past few years that they got from second hand shops, so can't really help from that angle.
I realized that if i'm wearing a suit, i might as well have a watch. Now i have 4 soviet watches that look slick as hell whenever i have to wear formal attire.
Theory, history, geography, technical manuals, cookbooks, and like 3 fiction books for me lmao.
At this point every Russian has died, but the power of juche necromancy is too strong and keeps resurrecting them.
The bechamel came from Moussaka, which i'm a huge fan of. Pesto on the noodles is just a "i want garlic" impulsive thought. The pan is why i mentioned i used a trough to cook it, it's thick as hell. I'm glad you enjoyed it, cheers!

My wife saw a charcuterie board and under her breath said "charcussy". I have been repeating that basically every day to her since.
And how casually it is brought up. Beyond the classic WW2 grandpas and Combat Footage Dads, i have regular conversations with people my age and younger that might as well be straight out of war game forums. The MIC is in basically every corner of media, and forces people to normalize these thoughts.
I used to be an absolute menace in those games, especially when it came to defending towns during sieges. Used to set up sniper nests in tower blocks and absolutely mine the hell out of chokepoints and entrances. They'd have to use bombing runs and artillery, because tanks and infantry would get slaughtered. I always wondered where i learnt how to do this, until i remembered that the news was always on when i was younger, and that time period had iraq, afghanistan, and the balkan wars. Really weird feeling knowing i was learning urban warfare tactics from the news.
