We are in an early start with a lot of communities. So I have to agree to @NPC@lemmy.world, the time will show which are the bigger one. But I also think, it make also sense to just contact the community mods to check if their is a way to put communities together and to operate together. Many mods probably just started because they haven't found what they were looking for yet. I myself had a bit of a hard time with one or the other search, which is getting much better since more communities and content are available. Maybe that's why there were accidentally more communities than intended.
Thanks for everything the admin(s) do to make this page possible. It's not just a corner of the internet where people talk about pornography and #nsfw things. It's much more than that.

I've just discovered first hand what it means to make the first contribution as a mod (nothing! compared to what others are doing here). And I can't even fathom the effort it means for those who make all this possible here in the first place.
