I was wondering how long it would take until the Canadians turned their sights to Radhika:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/radhika-desai-valdai-russia-ukraine-1.6995250

Desai then made international headlines when she asked Putin for his opinion on the scandal involving the Ukrainian veteran of a notorious Nazi unit, who was honoured in the House of Commons during a Sept. 22 visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The exchange played into Putin's oft-repeated but unsupported claim that Russia is trying to "de-Nazify" Ukraine.

"Her actions are morally reprehensible," said Andres Kasekamp, chair of Estonian studies at the University of Toronto and the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

"She gave [Putin] the big gift," of being able to say Canada has further justified the invasion, he said. "Which is pretty horrendous."

lol lmao, remind me again, who gave two standing ovations to a Nazi?

Yeah, I definitely didn't post this with the intent to say that Hamas Did Nothing Wrong, but the situation seems more complicated than the ways its been covered.

Not that I can easily see, that's why I added the caveat

[–] Parsani@hexbear.net 33 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It was an IDF-involved building collapse, a natural occurrence endemic to the region

Sharing this with the caveat that I have no idea of the veracity of the claims made or who it is who posted this (a Turkish tech bro?).

Another Israeli Manipulation is collapsing.

In a nutshell;

*Israeli police killed Jewish youth at the festival site.

*Resisters treated the hostages very well.

The girl taken hostage by the resistance at the festival in the desert spoke to Israel Radio;

"During this time the terrorists did not harm us, they even gave us the opportunity to drink and calmed us down while we panicked. The situation was really scary, but we were lucky that no one hurt us. For about two hours, no security forces were with us and we had to wait for the police to arrive. In the end, we were rescued and I'm with my friends now."

A girl named Yasmine claims that Israeli police blew up houses and they barely escaped.

"When the police came, they started shooting everywhere and I went outside with a gunman who talked to me. Four people were dead outside, I think the police killed them. Then they arrested the gunman and opened heavy fire on the hostages and the gunmen inside, killing them all."

It is likely that many Jewish youth on the festival grounds were also killed by Israeli soldiers.

The radio audio recording is attached.

Broadcast please. Please show it, especially to the whiney bunch of whiners who can't take a pro-Zionist stance like a young man.

#Gazagenocide #Palestine #IsraelTerrorists

There was a dubbed version of the audio, but I can't seem to find it now and it wasn't a very clear translation.

This does seem to check out with the bits of info that have come out about the festival, like the video showing IDF(?) shooting from within a crowd of people.

His follow up tweet also mentions that most of that running water from the pipes is not drinkable. I assume the water from desalination is drinkable, but needs electricity to run? And I haven't seen anything saying they will get electricity back or fuel to run their power plant.

Re Israel turning on water in southern Gaza:

I am from Gaza and I am telling you this is a JOKE.

Israel destroyed many water pipes.

Also, without electricity we can NOT turn on the water pumps.

Water in Gaza does not simply run into the taps. We have to fill water tanks about twice a week.

Really sounds like this "kind gesture" is a cheap pr trick and will effectively amount to nothing.
