Because pop culture corporate feminism isn't actual meaningful feminism, it is an entirely different beast the serves to reinforce the patriarchy.

Easy, I use political science terms and traditional analysis

I literally use "liberal" to mean liberal capitalist because I read political economics books. When you say "political science" and "traditional analysis" you are referring to something that is a lot less universal than you think it is.

Also like how do you talk about liberalism and neoliberalism in a non confusing way while also claiming liberalism is left? You didn't answer my question you just took a swipe.

The important thing to remember is that liberal vs. conservative is an ideological midpoint for the discourse being discussed and/or measured

Except this is a very narrow overton window(more like an arrow slit) and if you limit your discussion to it you miss a lot of context and analysis.

Which is good, because the overall trend throughout history is leftward and a relative system is able to both capture that as well as provide descriptive value for a given measurement period.

This is kinda unfalsifiable

They’re not, this is the traditional polling version of liberal vs. conservative — the one that everyone who is not terminally online uses

How do you describe the right wing ideology of liberalism in a not confusing way without rejecting liberalism=left as a definition?

[–] OurToothbrush@lemmy.ml -1 points 2 years ago

It is better to conceptualize political allegiance by which ideology they support: socialism, social capitalism, liberal capitalism, or fascist capitalism.

Kids are still in cages and democrats are supporting the genocide in Palestine, yes Democrats are fascist

"We have to ignore reality because it helps the opposition to acknowledge it" sure is some rhetoric alright.

You did a typo i think

Zionists intentionally tie zionism and Judaism together, endangering non zionist Jewish people.

The people there didn't "need civilizing" the government needed overthrowing, and Tibetans literally started the process and asked for Chinese assistance.

Next you'll tell me saying that the Confederacy being destroyed and integrated back into the union at the end of the Civil War was "imperialist"

I'm begging you to actually understand what imperialism is. Imperialism is not integrating another country by itself, it involves specific financially extractive structures which are absent in the relationship you describe.

Do you prefer the old fuedal regime which often treated serfs as slaves to the current autonomous region that a China helped to liberate after a local uprising by Tibetans?

“Southern Puppet Regime”

Yes, the regime that was a military dictatorship all the way into the 80s, whose military is literally under command of US pacific command during war time, who need US permission to fly their imported fighters in peacetime, and who don't have free speech when it comes to talking about the DPRK

Anyway, they appear interested in war with South Korea again.

Ahahahahah. Source? One that isnt funded by a billionaire or a government in service to billionaires please.

And they’re shipping arms and ammunition to Russia, which has wound up usef in both Ukraine and by Hamas.

Hmm, sounds like they sell weapons to groups that oppose the US empire, whether they are regional imperial powers or they're liberation groups.

That doesn't make them colonialist, lmao.

[–] OurToothbrush@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

Nothing imaginary about belligerent threats by North Korea against South Korea and Japan.

The US conducts the largest invasion exercise in the world in South Korea, every single year. WTF are you talking about, calling the DPRK the aggressor? They're literally demonstrating that they can strike back if they're invaded.

Loling at calling China, Iran, or North Korea colonialist.

Taking the most extreme example, how l the fuck could North Korea be colonialist? They also literally changed their foreign policy to abandoned the project of reunification with the Southern puppet regime.
