Title might as well read: When the Kremlin says “jump” the Venezuelan puppet government says “how high?”

The title says

Venezuela has formally proposed to join the BRICS group, says Maduro

And for the record, if Venezuela was a Russian puppet it wouldn't be supplying europe with oil rn.

Asked by the government we helped install. Do you not remember the Nuland/Pyatt call?

I have. The US is much better at keeping its prisoners alive so they can be tortured longer, but they have had longer to practice and Unit 731's notes.

If youre not willing to accept that, we could also go with the tuskegee experiment, nuclear testing around indigenous communities and then studying the results or agent orange, killing millions of people over the last twenty years, special forces routinely kidnapping and raping to death minors around US military bases, whatever floats your boat

We're still doing Guantanamo Bay. Abu graib is another one. If youre looking for direct comparisons. We also went around teaching puppet governments how to torture dissidents.

Not to mention that we saved the Unit 731 scientists for their expertise.

We didn’t let them use it during the cold war because they “well-actually”'d their way through all of eastern europe

You know the USSR contained eastern europe that wasn't controlled by the socialists in Yugoslavia right? They integrated them into their democracy after defeating the nazi collaborationist regimes and the Nazis. They subsidized their economies and those eastern European now nations voted overwhelmingly to stay in the soviet union in the last referendum on the issue.

EXACTLY LIKE THEY’RE TRYING TO DO NOW!!!

Seems to me they're responding to a coup that the US were caught redhanded orchestrating or at least oppurtunistically using a protest to achieve. Nuland and Pyatt were talking about who to put in the government, Russia had them wiretapped and published it, and Nuland admitted it was real.

Not to mention the wave of violence, the banning of Russian language, etc in the lead up to the conflict.

So yes, I’m enjoying watching Russian kids bleed out on the battlefield very much, thank you, because everyone the Ukrainians leave feeding sunflowers is another one that isn’t threatening the Baltics or other peaceful countries.

You do realize you're paying for that enjoyment with the blood of ukrainian conscripts right?

Great, then we’ll give Ukraine F-35s, F-22s, B-1Bs, swarms of Predators and Reapers and be on our way then.

Sure, why not? And while we are at it why not some white elephants?

Also predators and reapers are meant for asymmetric operations where your opponent doesn't have AA or an airforce.

If you want to give Ukraine an advantage and continue the bloody war just make more artillery shells.

Dude, look in the mirror, you need to live with that person and you’re excusing the crimes of Unit 731.

  1. Not a dude, stop assuming everyone on the internet is.

  2. The pacific theater were two extremely violent empires duking it out.

A) Do you think the US hasn't done worse than the rape of Nanking and Unit 731?

B) The US policy of containing Japan and economically provoking them does not mean that Japan was justified, it is simply the lead up to war between two incredibly violent factions competing over the same resources.

Given Angela Merkel said outloud that minsk negotiations were a delaying tactic, what incentive is there to negotiate?

A ceasefire would be great. Which is why you don't use negotiations cynically.

This is good rhetoric for "how patriarchy hurts men" 101 among other things

What is the difference in your eyes?

[–] OurToothbrush@lemmy.ml -3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Kind of racist to assume the whitest country is in control of BRICS.
