Okay you nasty thot (how am I doing so far?):-P

Watch? That would imply looking at the situation, so no I don't think that's quite the right word...

For one side it's more like "stand back and stand by", if you catch my drift, while for the other it's somewhat like claiming every four years to always have a ready supply of hot sauce stored in one's purse. (you see, a "purse" is a bag that we poors, specifically women, use to carry things - basically it's a nonmoving car where your butler puts all the "things" that you need for the entire day, except you are your own butler, and the purse doesn't drive to anywhere, and it gets heavy!)

People are scared of plane crashes (especially with Boeing involved - hey-oh!), but they forget: BY FAR the most dangerous portion of every flight is the drive to and from the airport (assuming those are involved).

There are (unfortunately) many profound similarities, and underlying reasons, e.g. both involve echo chambers that insulate them from the wider world, promoting childish modes of thinking (e.g. those who speak most aggressively "win"), such that whatever is "claimed" to be believed in, is not actually the case.

In life, we would be so fortunate if we could find someone who looks at us the way Janeway does her coffee:-)
