Would you be a jerk to someone else? No, then try to be as kind to yourself as you would to them (uh... a hypothetical someone I mean). Today you didn't want to, which is fine.

Just go out tomorrow, maybe sometime when it's not as hot. Just 10 minutes, it'll be enough, bc that will break the spell. No expectations other than that. Maybe walk around the block, or whatever.

Maybe the time after that, grab a beer, with the express intention of taking it home to drink it. No reason to push yourself any harder than that.

One day you'll do exactly that, and meet someone thinking just like you, and maybe you can drink it together. But it won't happen quickly, so for now just walk around the block - it's enough.
