They've found new and exciting ways to to stuff money in insurance pockets. I may be dumb, but I don't think subsidies are a solution at all. If the Government wanted to set prices...great. if they want to run a single payer system...sploosh. all this does is obscure from people how fucking expensive their healthcare is. I get that that satisfies the need of individual healthcare consumers (sort of....40$ vs the actual monthly rates people will be paying is kind of an "oh how cute" situation), it doesn't make the system any more sustainable.

I get this sentiment, but it'd go a long way for people who have the dreaded "range anxiety". If they want the expense of both systems, then go for it. I have a used Chevy Volt which is a PHEV, we got it a few years ago and didn't want to commit to full electric yet. It's my families only car and in our case it's been bullet proof. 95% of our driving is on electric with only family visits requiring gas. It's not a bad system for people who aren't convinced. Different now that it's becomming a culture war issue though.

Haha. Not sure why you're being downvoted, he's not even running a campaign. But somehow in the end this will be the progressives fault. Suck a dick dems.

I don't think that's right. At least most of the blame should go onto the party that refuses to govern, rigs elections against anyone who isn't their chosen meat puppet, and whose leader is supporting literal genocide. You can throw some of that shame down on the little people, but you're really wasting your time if that's where you're punching.

Wanting to change the system? Just vote blue isn't how you do it (I don't know how to do it, but voting blue obviously hasn't worked). The incentives are so weak for the dems to change, that I really don't even know how you can justify that second paragraph as reasonable. Voting doesn't make change, paying lobbyists does.

My cope is that maybe some of these elites stop losing their jobs when they fail election after election and we get someone new in there. But then these are Democrats, they don't learn ANYTHING ever, so that's all it is. Cope.

Just want to say that I appreciate how you two ended up haha. It was a wide eyed "Woah" from me at the beginning there (both), but I do love that you guys talked it out and ended up all civil and complimentary. There's hope for us all to understand each other is my takeaway. Thanks to both of you for showing us the way.

I get the sentiment, but I don't owe anyone a vote. Voting for the lesser of two evils is one thing when it's someone useless like Obama, but the "good" option is balls deep in a genocide and destabilizing the world in his allegiance to another country. Not voting for the senile genocide guy is the least I can do.

I'll be the first to say it sucks. Despite busting the railway unions his NLRB was doing good shit. It really really sucks.

This is my day! Worm toilets exist, and require almost no compromise. They can use water like a flush toilet or be a bit more rustic. So cool. Real harmony with nature shit and no one cares!

That's because it's Culvers. Jokes on ya'll, their recruiting literature make it clear that workers are family. As long as they're not employees it's all good!

I'm just curious how many Palestinians need to die, and how much of Gaza needs to be razed to dust before we're "even" in the minds of proponents that somehow this war is justified. Legitimately and in good faith, when are we "good" here?
