This news shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Ubuntu is just doing what they've been doing all along, and that is trying to push they're snap packages.

As long as distros give people the option/ability to install in other ways I don't see a problem. Now if Ubuntu out right banned any other way to install apps that would be big news.

The 3DFX Voodoo 2 & 3 era. These boxes are iconic. Could do an Andy Warhol with them.

I understand how you feel. Got a new laptop last few months. FPS went from 20 to 140. Gaming is glorious again.

I'll give that a try this evening with a couple USB sticks. Besides the installer and that Manjaro delays the package releases, what would you say is the difference between Arch and Manjaro?

My first distro was actually LMDE on another laptop, and this time I just figured I'd try Debian this time. I know Manjaro is based on Arch like LMDE is to Debian.

Thanks, that shreds some light on it

I don't even use discord but now I'm curious to setup an account to see what is ruffling people's feathers.

Did similar and moved to Voyager. I've kept Liftoff on my phone in case he returns from baby duty.

I have the exact same laptop, so I feel your pain. I've been looking at alternate ideas. I'm thinking of setting up a NAS for my home network.

I can't nail it down to a specific year, but I'd guess 2002-2003

Just from the picture alone, it looks like an A key NGFF M2 port. I see it's a Lenovo what's the model number?

Might be time to replace your HVAC filters in the home.

Learned basic on that thing as well. I remember having a magazine subscription that included a program in the center fold. Then saving it to a cassette tape to enjoy later. Lol
