That’s great to know - I have only recently discovered them! I really enjoy that they don’t have the weird aftertaste that a lot of protein bars have - they taste like they are actually made of food. Is it more cost effective to order directly?

I found these at Superstore. I’ve also been seeing them at Metro and Farm Boy

Toys R Us is now Canadian owned.

But now I’m fretting about agricultural collapse…

You might like Cari0 Toothpaste sold via Oral Science. It’s owned in Canada, though I’m not entirely sure where it is manufactured. It was developed by a dental caries researcher in Montreal.

From the same website (Canadian store) you can also find some other great products:

  • X-Purr also makes some great mouth rinses.
  • Xylimelts for dry mouth patients
  • Curaprox interdental brushes for people who get food stuck between their teeth due to receded gums.

It’s important to support Canadian owned news.

You’ll find great quality journalism from The Tyee , the Narwhal, or The Walrus.

I’m sure there are many more - perhaps we should create a list

Might be - I don’t have any big issue with the taste of stevia, so perhaps I’m not sensitive to it. However, I’ve tried Zevia before and didn’t really enjoy the flavours for whatever reason

Maybe it’s one of those polarizing tastes like cilantro. I don’t find the stevia taste offensive or all that noticeable in these. Perhaps certain flavours might overpower it more too?

None of that western heathenry!

Although Western Canada does make some damned tasty stuff too…

There’s nothing wrong with buying from your local farmers market if the food is better. However, if you aren’t happy with the quality from the farm providing delivery, perhaps there are other options in your area? I’m in a small city and there are probably 10-12 nearby farms that provide a CSA box via delivery, and a few more that have stands where your farm share price gives you a certain amount you can spend when you attend

Yikes, Reddit is slowly killing itself. I remember years ago it was more the opposite - there were some seriously disturbing subs because they didn’t want any censorship. Now the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction and it’s hard to say anything of substance without getting warned or banned
