There's legal direct action (striking for example). As for the illegal stuff I have no idea, but it happens. Just Stop Oil made it three years before disbanding, and there are plenty of direct action-focused groups lying around.

a certain mid-20th century regime that your own people barely escaped from, Israel?

Nothing like that exists. Holocaust survivors and their descendants don't make anywhere near the majority, or even a significant minority, of Israel's Jewish population.

Yes, but lately I've found that to be insufficient. The full form is: If a headline is a question, the answer is always the one where people who need to act morally don't. Will the EU stop financing Israel's genocide? No. Will climate change kill us all? Yes. Will the Supreme Court stop Trump from doing a bad thing? No. Is free speech in Britain dead? Yes.

Even if this claim was true, which is dubious (presumably Guterres goes on to explain what global action he's calling for, yet there's no mention of that in the video), there must've been a better source than rightwing bigots.

They cited their evidence, where's yours?

There's no domestic terrorism charge in the US. Only foreign organizations can be declared to be terrorist organizations. First Amendment.

Edit: And even then only giving material support for such organizations is a chargeable offense.

This is stupid. Fuck copyright law.

Being here illegally is a crime.

Setting aside that legal immigrants and even US citizens are being targeted now, yes but who fucking cares? Being in the US illegally is against the law because the law is fucked up, not because you have a god-given right to tell people not to exist within the same half-continent as you.

This would take a long fucking time, probably years, to put together.

You're right in everything else, but not this. You need a certain amount of infrastructure to make it work, but nothing near years of planning. General strikes would be useless if they needed years of planning. The problem is the lack of infrastructure, but once you have that going it can literally just... happen.

You'll have to elaborate on that, because you're (A) generalizing to a very large group with very diverse views & opinions and (B) rather vague.

Okay. I'll be working off the latest report here, dated July 2025. A 60%+ majority of Jewish Israelis:

  • Oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state.
  • Support "Voluntary" Palestinian immigration from Gaza.
  • Believe that the number of Palestinian casualties in the so-called war is justified.

In addition, slimmer majorities:

  • Oppose peace negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.
  • Support full Israeli security control in post-war Gaza.
  • Support the forced expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza by military means.
  • Support Israel Katz's proposal to relocate all Gazans to a tent camp in Rafah and only allow them to leave for other countries.

I believe I've made my case already, but also note that these all have 7-15% don't know answers, which is fucked up in its own right but also means that if you only count the people with an opinion on the subject you get even worse numbers.

You can't quite beat "gulags were paid bro," but here's more stupidity from the same thread. Apparently Nazis killed all the good communists in 1933. Like holy fuck I thought only Zionists could be this dumb.

Top: TFW when Nazi Germany wasn't Nazi.

Bottom: This mod just removed a rhetorical question because "nobody said that"???

Thread in case y'all wanna see the context. Everything below the first paragraph was added after my response.

One thing Trump tried to do after getting inaugurated was considering Mexican cartels terrorist organizations, and for that he was attacked by Sheinbaum for violating Mexico's sovereignty. But, at least as far as I've read on the topic (whcih is not a lot to be fair), nobody actually explains why that's the case. I mean at a glance you'd think the Mexican government would benefit from such an action, or at least I did. It's pretty obvious to me I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, so does anyone here have it?

Edit: Thanks for the answers. Now it makes sense.
