But you are intolerant...?

I just canceled an office space my company rented because they put up a TV in the kitchen playing ads. They refused to relent and we are moving out now.

Most synthetic sweeteners are considered scientifically rigorously tested and safe for consumption. :)

To be fair, for most shithole countries tourism is a beloved form of income. So they usually leave travelers alone. Even NK mostly. The US started violating that rule, that's why tourism is down massively.

Comparison is sadly not that good. Comparing cost per kWh is not great. Gas is instant power anywhere and solar is power generation if the sun shines. I'm massively pro solar, but without buffering ("storing") the power and its actual cost, this is just not accurate.

Can't have officials grab their ~~dick~~mommy's hand in public, so they get a supplement to hold on to.

Unsure if I'm allowed to participate here, so delete please if inappropriate.

I have always been of the impression that banning single accounts reactively to what they post is more work but also more impactful in terms of teaching people to view a problematic world view with the required precision in choosing to express their views.

On the one hand a blanket ban decreases engagement and encourages radicalization through isolation.

On the other hand would engaging with them allow people to see what precisely is a balanced take with precision to what you want to say.

You showed evidence from the modlog that exists only because people were able to engage, stopping that would reduce workload for mods but reduce engagement in political discussion.

Lastly, in this lost you went and made a more precisee statement about who needs fighting in Israel, which was encouraged by the modlog morsels. So again I ask: is that not useful? It teaches to avoid overgeneralization, which a lot of people need very much to learn.

Our German politicians for example. they, like most of our populace, react reflexively negative to anything anti Semitic. Because of our shared cultural shame around the genocide. On the other hand we see ideally politicians acting line we did back then and feel as uneasy as you do. So we do what Germans to, we find a more precise way to express what we see. Overgeneralization of redderic against Jews is bad, specification of anti Israeli genocide sentiment good.

I think it would be in the interest of your cause not to blanket ban and instead add another well balanced volunteer mod to your ranks. :)

Have you tried doing he same thing but with some very tactfully avoided eye contract? Works very well to look for a little signal that might not happen if she doesn't notice you. If she ignores it a little longer than just at first, she is not interested. If you give it a few rounds of carefully looking and playing shy when she notices, she might start joining in the dance so to speak. That's your signal that there might be some interest possible. I like to go up in a situation that does not pressure her or put her too much on the spot and just hand her mym number to contact me if she would like to chat.

Sometimes they write, sometimes they don't. :) but it's the much less boundary pushing way to measure interest before engaging and without making anybody uncomfortable. And yes, women are friends, not food.

Everybody loves getting 0-, sadly people that can give 0- can only receive 0- as well. I'm a universal donor and try to give blood regularly.

We just had a thread about biopunk centered media, I would love a similar collection about movies and TV shows about solar punk. Here we go:

I really loved the show the peripheral. I know it's not really centered around solar punk per se, but it happens to be placed in a world where the main character goes from place to place in a solar charged e-bike.

What's your favorite show or movie set in a solar punk world?

Just started reading and I am already planning to switch over to extreme test driven development. We don't test nearly enough.

Whats your preferred development strategy? And comparably good sources you would recomment?

do you know hypothesis / quickcheck? (hypothesis.readthedocs.io)

We use this primarily for input generation for dialog tests.

Its a quickcheck implementation and found us quite alot of "weird" bugs. Like a not-exactly matching encoding of database and application.

Now we gained clean utf smileys in text fields m)

Highly recommend it.

This post is a little older, but I was surprised how many packages are timeless allstars. I use all of them except for

  • cors headers
  • extensions
  • storages
  • pytest
  • environ

Which do you use? And for what reasons? For example I need to look into pytest and determinw whats better about that than the natively used test framework.

First post in the new community,

Cheers!

Shiitake Grow set produced an unusually big mushroom instead of many small ones. Is this really shiitake? Based on my google foo it is highly likely.

Thanks
